“A great six days.”

We really enjoyed our stay at El Cozumeleno. The water is absolutely beautiful and the service was great. We were there in the middle of October so it wasn't so busy. We rented a jeep for $50 per day and drove the island. We had never gone on a vacation like this before so we were pretty new at this. The place was very clean and the room was good. We paid a little more and got a room with the fridge. It is worth it. We stayed on the 9th floor and had a great view. I would get up in the middle of the night sometimes and just sit out on the balcony. I really miss that. The help starts cleaning around 5:30 and continues all day. Very clean place. I did try snorkeling one day and enjoyed it. Let someone show you where to enter the water. You will enjoy it. The food is not why you go there. Breakfast is good. Lunch and dinners are just ok, I didn't lose weight though. We enjoyed the room service in the evenings. We are not drinkers so I can't tell you about but everyone seemed to be having a good time. Did not see anything out of line, just a relaxing stay for everyone. If you play golf be sure to have them set you up for the golf course across the street. It will save you about $34. I really enjoyed the course. . If you are a serious snorkeler you probably should go to the other end of the island. But if you are just looking for a nice relaxing time, I recommend the El Coz. The staff was extremely polite and helpful.

“A great 2 weeks”

Just returned. Have never stayed at an all inclusive resort before, but it was a great experiece at the El Cozumeleno. The service, cleanliness, attitudes of all the staff, amenities were excellant. I found the food at the buffets to be very good. There was always at least one new dish at each meal, and I did not get tired of the selections. The dinner in the restaurant was excellant, as was the service. We did not have any trouble getting reservations on any of the days we ate there. However, I don't think the hotel was ever more than half full. The drinks were fine, although not the most expensive alcohol-but hey, you can have all you want. I found the waiters to be appreciative of tips, for drinks and meals, but not expectant. Renting a car for a day or two to see the east side is definitely a must do. You can get a better rate by calling a downtown agency. Budget picked us up and dropped us off at the hotel. Snorkeling in front of and to the south of the beach is great. I would definitely go back

“Wonderful!!”

We stayed here for our honeymoon and we couldn't have been happier that we did!! The service was excellent and the workers went out of their way to make it pleasant. If you are going to Cozumel, you must, at the very least, seriously consider El Cozumeleno Resort!!

“Recommend El Cozumeleno”

We had a GREAT TIME...My wife and I were very pleased with El Cozumeleno we were worried about the food because everyones comments on the site. But we found the food to be very good, especially the omletes for breakfast and fajitas for lunch and the dinner in the nice restaurant were all very good. the snorkeling was amazing right in front of the resort just as good as anywhere else on the island and the service was great. the AC worked great in the room and they clean the rooms daily in the early afternoon. it was a great time and we would stay again.

“GETTING READY TO BOOK MY NEXT TRIP BACK!!!”

My husband and I loved this palce!! Defiently rent a jeep from the Expedia rep in the hotel lobby & drive around the island. We had a wonderful time! I don't recommend taking the ferry across to the main land. Very expensive & very commercialized. Not worth it. The hotel was excellent the food ok. Avoid the reps @ the airport (they try to tell you that you have to talk to them before you leave....but they LIE. Also avoid the rep in the lobby...after we told her we weren't interested she didn't bother us again. The expedia rep is very helpful & not trying to sell you any "time share".

“Great Place to Stay”

We just got back from our first trip to Cozumel and enjoyed every minute. The hotel was great. After reading all the reviews before going, I would have to say the hotel is under rated. The hotel is clean, the grounds are immaculate, the ocean view is great, the pool area is great, the snorkling right in front of the hotel is as good as it gets, the food is fine. The food in the restaurant is excellant. They have something going on every night but is more family entertainment, which was enjoyable. The staff goes out of their way to help. The only downside, and this very minor, is the beds could be a little more comfortable but we never had trouble sleeping. I also wished they would have a more authentic "Mexican" atmosphere than "American". After all, it is Mexico. All in all, the place was great and when we return to Cozumel, we will stay here for sure.

“Great Value”

Very friendly staff -- great location for families - fun, safe and lots to do. The beach was a little small and there were quite a few rocks to navigate when entering the water but that is to be expected in Cozumel - the water was amazingly clear. The main pool felt a little slimy some days and the swim up bar needs to have expanded hours - but overall a great value. Would recommend and return.

“Wish I lived there”

This was our second trip to El Cozumeleno. We have spent time all over the island and there is nowhere we would rather stay. We snorkeled all over and we saw the same fish, squid, and eels right in front of the hotel. The view from our balcony was beautiful. Our room was spacious and cleaned to perfection daily. We really didn't want to leave.
