“Great Budget Vacation”

Service is absolutely wonderful! The staff goes out of their way to be friendly, helpful and gracious. The grounds are spotless and the staff works hard to keep it that way. There are a couple different pools to use and they are neat the way they are laid out and flow into one another. The beach is great for that part of the island and there’s always a beach chair to be found, even when it’s crowded. I heard that the newer building has nicer rooms, but our room was fine- though outdated. Only negative is the food. It’s just not very good. Our advice is to have a made-to-order omelet for breakfast, order off the menu for lunch (the food just sits out for so long it’s just not tasty at all by the end) and either use the restaurant or head into town for dinner. Overall it was a wonderful vacation and a great price!

We stayed as guests for a "destination wedding" (held at a different location on the island). Everything was great. Rooms and facilities were very clean and employees were the "best"!! Beach was a little difficult to get into and out of the water due to rocky shoreline. Recommend wearing water shoes. Definitely take advantage of the snorkel/sunset cruise...it was wonderful. No clocks in rooms (or irons) so if you really need to know the "time" bring a travel alarm...guess vacation time has no clock! Food was good, especially breakfast. Dinner in the dining room was equally good. Swimming pools were beautiful and well maintained. This is one of the nicest places we have stayed of all resorts in this area and we will definitely go back. We will have great memories of this place, the occassion and the people that we met. Everyone was so friendly!

we are very satisfied with the hotel and location of th hotel. My kids(6 &8) had very good time there, they liked snorkling(right off the beach!), mini golf, kids club and swiming pools. The rooms are clean and staffs are very friendly. The nightly entertainments needed improved. But overall, we like there.

We have stayed at this hotel five times over the past 15 years. Over that time, we have watched it grow and continue to improve. The location is beautiful, with snorkeling right off the beach. Facilities are clean and well maintained, and the staff is extremely kind and helpful.

“Wonderful Stay, Loved The Hotel”

Our vacation at the El Cozumeleno was fantastic. It was the best looking hotel on the island and the staff were very friendly. Our room was much more spacious than we expected which was a pleasant surprise. We look forward to returning in the near future and staying there again. This is a family resort, so just in case you're looking for nightlife there isn't much going on after 10pm.

We had the best vacation at the El Cozumelena. We loved the hotel, our room, and the location of everything. We really loved staying there. I would recommend the south tower, and above the 4th floor for a really great view!

“Greatly enjoyed the trip”

I was surprised at what a wonderful experience this was. In the past my wife and I have always take vacations that were filled with specific activities; spelunking, horseback riding, visiting museums or archaeological ruins. This trip was designed to just rest and get away from everything (though Tulum and the night life are close by.) We loved the hotel and never left.

Our stay at El Cozumeleno was a great experience. The hotel staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant staff was just outstanding, to a point of almost annoying. I mean they will feed you, keep your glass full all the time and just smother you with excellent and ongoing service. Shot, they put my customer skills to shame, but then again, I'm a Banker and that's not fun these days. The condition of the hotel was good, however, it just seem dated, but from what I’ve seen, not out of line with other hotels on the island. Overall, excellent service, friendly staff, not to mention all the events, just a little bit dated. Still, I would recommend this place to everyone.

“Laid Back Vacation Paradise”

Beautiful place to stay! Extremely clean, beautiful views. Not a beach lovers place as the property is almost all reef. Staff was very friendly and helpful, atmosphere very laid back. Pool was kept immaculately clean, and they mix fantastic drinks! I would go back again! Food at the buffet was what I expect at an all-inclusive 3 star, but the restaurant was incredible!! Get in line early for reservations as they fill up immediately each day.

“Loved it!”

This was our first trip to Mexico and we were absolutely thrilled with El Cozumeleno. There is plenty of food to choose from, even a very picky eater such as myself could find something for every meal. The snorkeling right there on the beach was fun (and free!!) I definitely recommend taking advantage of the free activities they offer.
