“Almost perfect hotel”
I just returned from a few days at the Fiest Americana. Overall the hotel was great. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Cleanliness and neatness were everywhere. My room was spacious and comfortable. The bed was a little hard, but so are all of the beds in Cozumel. I did not go "all inclusive" and I should have. I found the menu items and buffets to be very expensive, but there again, so are all hotels. There is no direct beach access to the water, as with most of the hotels in Cozumel, so if running along the beach and into the water is your fantasy, this is not the place to be. There is a great built up, man made beach area, though. They have a dive company in the resort and a pier that allows other dive companies to pick you up direct. Town is only a $6.00 cab ride away. I would definitely stay at this resort again.
“FA was a great hotel”
We had a great stay at FA in April 2009. Top notch service and the staff was extremely friendly. The room was clean, towels changed twice a day and it was the most comfortable bed we have ever had in MX! The variety of food options at the buffet was great, but they could add a few options to the menu of the specialty restaurant. Breakfast choices were plentiful (with bacon) every day. Large bottles of water were yours for the asking. I hope to return to FA soon.
“See no reason to very stay elseware”
People are always great. Rooms and food great. We prefer the rooms in the back area . Staff could not be warmer and more accomodating.
“Great Place To Stay”
Reasonable prices. Only ate breakfast there and some dinners. Food was good. Nice view from the 4th floor. Comfortable beds. Nice size room. Snorkeling is great right in front of hotel and all along the way north almost to the cruize docks. Water is free only at the bars. You will have to pay for bottled. A/C worked good. Breakfast patio could be a little more open. Some tables are near the buffet and it is not relaxing having people going around the tables. It is also hot sitting there.
“This place truely wants you to have a GREAT time!”
We stayed here for 4 nights in a 6th floor room (upgrade from standard- deluxe?) were we had a GREAT view of the ocean. There are many activites avaliable at the hotel (volleyball/soccer/swimming/snorkeling/diving/full service spa/walking-running paths) as well as daily activities that range from spanish lessons to bingo. We did not do the all exclusive package because we wanted to be able to go into town and eat a variety of foods on the island. We expected the island to be very busy, but found just the opposite! Most nights things were shutting down around 9/10pm and frequently ended up at the hotel bar/lounge area visiting with other guest and staff. TIP: If you are planning on renting a car, they do have a car rental service at the hotel (Hertz). taxi is $6-8 one way to town-do the math, it may be worth it to rent a car. Beds were comfortable, rooms clean, AC functions, high priced mini bar, and chocolates left on your pillow! Water pressure a little low, but functions okay. Safes in room, also mini fridge (that holds some mini bar items) in room. Nice lighting!! ..and for those of you who stay on the north end of the hotel, be sure to check out the lite up figure in the grass! If you can't figure it out, call the front desk! : )
“Quite nice”
We stayed on the fifth floor and had a great view of the ocean, sat on the balcony and enjoyed beautiful sunsets. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The AC didn't work one night but it was fixed the next day. Staff was very friendly!
“Good times!”
We had a great stay at this hotel. The time of year that we went it was very quiet so they didnt have all of the restrarants open. The servers were very polite and helpful. The food very good. We had the all inclusive meal plan and we didnt tip until the last day. I would recommend the all inclusive...that way we dont feel bad about bottle water and getting a snack. Rooms were clean and basic...but we didnt want to spend time in the room.
“Great vacation spot”
We had a great time at Fiesta Americana and did not go with the "all inclusive" option. We were really glad because the food at the hotel wasn't worth the price and we loved going into town to the local restaurants.
“Best hotel on the island”
This hotel is in an excellent location for anyone that wants to enjoy the beach without commotion of a huge hotel next too the city. It is still close enough to town to get there for $8 in a taxi.
“always wonderful experience with Fiesta and Dive House!”
As before, the hotel front was extremely friendly, professional, and polite. Their porters are always helpful and try to make your stay as comfortable and convenient as possible. I stayed at Fiesta already 3 times but my wonderful experience with them make me want to go back again and again. Their location is best, too, a little away from the downtown and also away from the international cruise piers so it is very quiet, and still surrounded by the beautiful original nature. (I am sure it will change eventually...)Their diving operation, Dive House, has the best people and boats. Their dive masters and staff are incredibly attentive and professional. I hope Fiesta and Dive House will stay there forever so I can always come back.
