“Great stay. No complaints.”
I read a lot of reviews for Fiesta Americana prior to my trip, some quite negative, so I was a little apprehensive about booking this hotel. But I wanted a good value, something off the beaten path, immediate access to ocean, and an on-site dive shop. This hotel happened to fit the bill so I booked it. I'm glad I did and I honestly don't understand any of the negative reviews regarding this hotel. If you're looking for a luxury resort with a 5-star restaurant, this probably isn't the place for you. But the rooms certainly meet all the standards you would expect for a good hotel. They are clean and well maintained. With the exception of about three hours, there is buffet food available from 6:00 A.M. to 11:00 P.M. and the service is outstanding. The staff is courteous and attentive. The food is not "elite" quality but is quite good and the variety is very adequate. Great place for divers! This was my first dive since my certification and my anxiety level was pretty high. The Dive House staff was outstanding and gave me the attention I needed to be comfortable in the water and to make sure I had a good diving experience. Overall, I give the hotel and dive shop two BIG thumbs up.
“Horrible Odor”
There was an odor of sewage in the lobby. It came and went. The room was so damp, I had to change rooms. I could not breathe, it was so damp.
“Great Dive Resort!”
This was my first trip to Cozumel for my girlfriend and I so we really didnt know what to excpect. The hotel is pretty nice, i thought the rooms could have been a little more updated, but nothing that i could not complain about to much. Just make sure you get a room with a fridge. Room Service is free and is probably the best choice when it comes to food. I stayed for 7 days and was tired of the food by the 4th day. The Breakfast in my opinion was the best tasting. Make sure to make reservations for the upstairs resturaunt.(Very nice and good food). The staff was GREAT! Theres always stuff going on at the pool with Rocky the Dj, and the bartenders know what they are doing. The Dive shop has a great crew and are very helpful, i left some of my dive gear laying out one night by the water, and the crew locked it up and called my room to let me know i left it. Saw lots of Marine life in front of the resort while snorkling...such as Sting Rays, Barracudas, and much more. The Night dive was amazing at paradise reef about 5 min boat ride from the resort. Probably will go back to Fiestamericana again next year.
“Best service I had”
I really enjoy this hotel, everybody is extremely niece. The waiters Fernando, and Baltazar, were excellent waiters, they seem to enjoy there job. The bartender was very friendly especially with my husband. You have to make reservations for the italian food but we forgot he talk to somebody and they let us in.Everything was beautiful especially that I went with my husband, my five year old,and my 9 month old. The only thing was the mosquitos in the end. Other than that it was fabulous.ti
“Great location for Diving”
Great place to stay for diving. Food is not gourmet but plentiful and readily available. Multilple pool options that offer variety.
“Divers & Snorkellers Dream Resort”
A beautiful resort, excellent food and wonderful diving/snorkeling opportunities. The hotel is right on the beach and the marine life I saw was better than when I have paid to go on trips! All inclusive is the best option with food galore at all three sittings. A lovely coffe shop open all day. The staff were very helpful and polite and the casita room that we have was incredibly clean and spacious. Free wifi too which is always a bonus. I will be heading back next February!
“Great Location! Great Staff! Great Dive Shop!! Poor Room!”
We spent 4 nights in Cozumel. We have the time of our life on this wonderful Island! Great Place to Relax, Dive, Shop and Snorkel. Everything with our stay was perfect except for the room itself. We had to keep our A/C set really high to keep room from being too humid. This made for poor nights of sleep. Really not being whimpy about that either. I have been in all climates and have have slept in some incredible conditions. We just could not get things right. I would stay here again because of the location, staff, food, and dive shop on location. The beach is great if you want to snorkel but don't expect to frolic in the water without water shoes. Many people may complain about all-inclusive food but I think their expectations are not realistic.
“it's a definite for next year!”
My sister and I have been going on vacation together on a "sisters vacation" for the last few years. We leave the men and kids home!!! Fiesta Americana had everything we were looking for! Our excursions were fantastic, the snorkling right on the beach at the hotel was fabulous and the staff was so friendly and fun! So far there hasn't been a hotel that we have wanted to go back to until The Fiesta Americana. We are already discussing our dates. We'll definitly return. Thanks for the fun and great memories that we love to make!!!! The Food was delicious also!! the only thing that bothered me a little is they charged extra for guacomole. but the expense didn't stop us because it was awesome!!!
“Great stay!”
Very comfortable and quiet resort. Service was excellent - everyone was friendly and very accomodating! If you like not being right downtown this is the place for you.
“"Pleased but will not return "”
We loved the location, it was far enough away from town and close enough to rent a car and spend the day away. The staff was wonderful the food was ok but not much to choose from. The staff was very accomadating and would do anything for you. We are in our late 60's and didn't realize it was mostly a diving resort. The beach at the resort was difficult for people to get in and out. The access was very small and rocky. I know this reveiw sound negative but all in all we had a great time. I would not go back because were not divers.
