“Great Vacation at a great location”

This is our 6th visit at Cozumel Fiesta Americana and still love it. We go to this hotel without the all inclusive option because there are so many good restaurants on the island. The hotels location is the best close to town (if you rent a car or take a cab) and close to all the beach clubs. Make sure you visit Alberto's beach it is the best for food, cheap drinks and will also arrange for 2 hour $35 person snorkel trips... it was worth it. The Hotel is clean, staff is helpful, pools couldn't be any cleaner, drinks are strong and good. I would not recommend eating too many meals here since the menu is limited, we hate buffets. But the best amenity the hotels offers is the best offshore snorkeling on the island right off their beach. you'll see more fish than if you go on the Fury boat or the Submarine and its FREE. Will be back next January.

“An excellent experience”

I just returned from a five-night stay at Fiesta Americana and really enjoyed it. The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful, the room was spacious and spotless, the hotel beach club was very nice. The food at the restaurant was just okay, but I only had a few meals there. I ate in town most of the time. I can recommend the Ceviche from the hotel restaurant, though, it was great. One of the big pluses for me was the location. It is several Km south of town, away from everything. It felt very private and secluded, yet the city center was only a $6 cab ride away. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my stay there and would stay there again and recommend it to others.

“Would definately visit again”

Great place to stay based on the price. Food was good (foodies would be dissappointed), staff were terrific, rooms clean, beds slightly hard(typical mexico beds). Central location for drving both into town and south and east on the island. Generally a peacful place other than the odd individual/group that were not able to pace themselves with the all inclusive drinks, good teaching momenets for the kids? Also despite having smoking areas, they were not enforced so that would be our biggest complaint - people smmoking by the pool, on the beach ind in the lobby - YUCK !!!!! I guess Mexico is still a smokers paradise, hard to believe in 2011.....

“Great Place!”

Very Satisfied: Reasonable price, clean room, good A/C, well-maintained grounds, tour desk, music in lobby, good bar, lunch restaurant good, dinner restaurant ok,lots of light in the room, view of ocean. Also very quiet at night in the room. Friendly staff. No problems. Never had to wait long for a cab to town.

“I will go back to Fiesta Americana again”

I was extremely happy during our 4 nights stay in Dec. It was low season so the hotel area was empty and only two restaurants were open that was actually wonderful since we enjoyed the serene /relaxed atomosphere. We were there for diving and the dive operation was wonderful as they were always. The hotel service was extremely friendly and very professional. Loved the ease of diving every day. We went out to the town for dinner two nights, but, we enjoyed the restaurants food, too. The continental breakfast was perfect. We are not big eater(especially before morning dive!). We had lunch there mostly since it was just easy after diving. The lunch menue was excellent. The dinner at the hotel restaurant was great, too. We did not do all inclusive. Unlike others' review, we did not find the price of meals and drinks expensive. The big water bottle price was not bad at all, too; those people complainning must be comparing the price to that of Cosco or Walmart. As for the room, we stayed in a "delux" room on the 7th floor. The view was amazing. The bed was king size, and, I was first so afraid of some review about the hard bed. What a nice surprise! The bed was just perfect for us. I do not like soft pillow top bed that is most common in US these days. The bed we slept felt much more comfortable than my own bed in my house that was pretty expensive. I wanted to bring back their bed home lol. I will definitely go back to this hotel and the dive house, hopefully, soon!

“Great place to stay!”

Purpose was Ironman. Staff was great and very accommodating to us athletes. Unlike what my family experienced at an all inclusive hotel" Cozumelina" at the north end. The security was like prison guards at visiting hour. Seriously! We had a great time. I will definitely stay at Fiesta Americana again. Great experience and by the way the spectators were phenomenal.

“Looking forward to visiting again”

I am very happy with the service we received at Fiesta Americana. It was clean, has a great location, the staff was very professional and very accommodating. Despite being the busy season, the hotel was able to meet all of our requests (even though we booked at the very last minute). For example, we asked for early check-in, late check-out and we received both. When the bellhop opened the door to our room and noticed it had been recently used by a chain smoker, he immediately asked for and was given another room for us. As far as food, this was not an all inclusive for us. I have read reviews where some people were not excited by the food here but for us, it was fine. Honestly, it's what you would expect to get and pay for at a hotel. We only had breakfast at the hotel and opted to take a taxi to downtown (100 pesos or less than $8 each way) for good food (dinner for two for less than $30). Since it was Sunday night, we were also able to enjoy the live music and dancing in the center.

“Great time snorkeling, swimming, and relaxing on the beach!”

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Fiesta Americana. We stayed about a week and had goals of snorkeling, swimming, laying on the beach, and maybe a few sidetrips. Our expectations were more than met. The snorkeling off the hotel beach and either way up the coast was fantastic. I saw countless fish including docile barracuda, as well as skates, rays, eels, and a large starfish and squid. We took a day trip snorkeling excursion too but the only thing we saw for the added cost I didn't see off the hotel was a large sea turtle. This was the first time we have used a meal plan on a vacation. We found the meal plan with drinks to be great for our needs. We don't drink alcohol but still enjoyed endless fruit smoothies and food dishes we normally wouldn't order. I would recommend the meal plan because ordering off the menu looked pretty pricey (about $20 each for breakfast and our supper for three would have been about $100 each night not to mention the cost for lunch.) You could take a cab into town to eat but it's about $10 each way. The staff at the hotel were absolutely fantastic. Dinner captains Reuben and Carlos went out of their way to ensure our enjoyment. Waiters like Manuel were extremely helpful and friendly. We very much enjoyed our stay but again we weren't looking for a lot of things to do.

“We liked it; we will go back.”

We were very pleased with our stay at the FA Dive Resort. Our room and balcony had a great view of the ocean. Our king bed was great. The continental breakfast was an added bonus. Beware of the "welcome package." Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Snorkeling in front of the resort as well as 1/4 mile north and south of it provided very good snorkeling - and so convenient. We will definitely go back.
