This a beautiful Hacienda .. very conveniently located, steps away from the busyness of downtown without being in the thick of it. A great restaurant (at the corner, facing the sea) for morning coffee & other meals, is steps away. While it’s location & its bones are great, very clean, lovely garden & attentive personnel … one can feel it’s need for a little attention …. For ex a shower curtain that doesn’t reach the floor makes an unimportant little mess … If one is sensitive to the volume of music, a nearby bar can test one’s patience. Luckily the island imposes relatively early closing times. Be that as it may, one may remember, Covid hit a lot of properties / business hard, except for big groups with deep pockets : most are getting back on their feet… Brenda, one of the welcoming team, is a gem, with precious knowledge & a generous spirit.

This is a great place to stay in Cozumel. So pretty and literally just off the malecon. Quiet and comfortable.

At Hacienda San Miguel you feel like you're part of the family. The staff knew me by name even though I hadn't met all of them personally, and every time I walked by the front office the person would call out, "Welcome home!" The price, location, and amenities can't be beat!

The hotel is budget friendly and that's what you can expect. Mattress, linens, and towels are old. They turn off the air when you are out as to not incur expenses. There is no breakfast included. There for s no pool. It is 1 block from the beach which was the only good think. The service was great.

Nice and warm feeling of Mexican style architecture for building and landscape. Room is clean and comfortable, AC, hot water work great. Kitchen with equipments are great for long stay. Location is not too far to walk to main Cozumel areas and staffs are very friendly. Recommended!!

The front desk staff were friendly, and gave us a quick walk-thru of the room which was a nice touch. A very well-kept and clean heritage property located in a quiet area with very little traffic, but walking distance to the center and water. The bed was comfortable and soft, and hot water was available on-demand! We will be back!

San Miguel offers the traveler an excellent location very close to transportation and restaurants, but off the busy main street and therefore quiet and peaceful in its lovely bird-filled garden. Room was spacious with well equipped kitchen. Above all these positives is the exceptionally warm and helpful staff that genuinely treated us as individual humans rather than anonymous strangers just passing through. This alone was enough to make our stay at San Miguel so memorable. The only slight negative was erratic internet access.

This property is unique and charming. It is very close to the waters so you can go for a sunset stroll. The manager, and the housekeeping lady, Ms Maria are very friendly, kind and informative. They went above and beyond. I will be definitely back here. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Excellent stay!

This hotel is a jewel in paradise! The staff welcomed me like family, and were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was simple and had everything I needed, including a functional kitchenette, so I was able to shop at the grocery store and prepare meals myself. It is located just steps from the ocean and restaurants, as well as a short walk from the main square and the ferry pier. Some music could be heard at night from a nearby restaurant, but it normally finished by 23h00 and was very quiet after. When not out and about, it was the perfect refuge for sitting outside and admiring the beautiful courtyard. I will definitely stay there again!

Old and run-down. Could be a beautiful property with a little renovation. Huge gaps in the window for bugs to come in, no window coverings in the suites front room and poor fitting one in the bedroom. Stains on sheet, and walls in serious need of painting, cracked floor tiles, musky smell. Very dissapointed!

This is the best place on the island to stay. Ran by the best most friendly locals that really care about you and you needs. They well help you with whatever you need to increase your enjoyment! Nice place but the staff makes it a repeat choice for me every trip.

The Hacienda was very Old Mexico charming. The courtyard much more relaxing and inviting than the photos can express. Most of all the, staff were very first rate, attentive and friendly. The Hacienda is a short walk to everything in San Miguel.

This hotel was perfect. I spent 13 nights with them and would happily return for another stay. The hotel is rustic and well maintained with a beautiful and quiet central garden. It sits 1 block off the waterfront and about a half mile from downtown Cozumel shopping and the ferry. The staff is amazing and always greet you with a smile. It’s a small property but the rooms are large, clean and most importantly air conditioned.

Beautiful Hacienda
We really enjoyed this beautiful little hotel! 1 block from restaurants and the ocean, 4 blocks from the square, easy access to taxis. The employees will do anything for you. Small kitchenette and good sized frig. Excellent hot water and pressure. Bed a little firm. Will definitely go back!

Read details below, esp if traveling for work
The wifi does not work in the rooms. My gf and i both work remotely, and immediately asked to move rooms when we noticed. The maid smiled and said "oh, you wont get good wifi in any room, youll have to be outside for that" (outside it was 95 degrees). When we asked how this was possible since wifi in each room was advertised, they blamed covid, saying it ruined their wifi. That felt wrong; our next hotel had perfect wifi the entire time. The bed was uncomfortable and the headboard was broken. We had to stick a towel between headboard and wall to avoid waking ourselves and neighbors from so much as turning over at night. The AC was so loud turned it off (broken piece inside or something). However, the free coffee and breakfast in the morning was wonderful. The maid/housekeeper was absolutely the best part of the place and was absolutely delightful and accommodating. The price was comparatively low to others in the area. Note: if you rent a scooter, park INSIDE the hotel at night. We left ours on street just one night, and a mirror was stolen off it, which cost us.

It is a quiet boutique hotel. Excellent staff and clean. My husband could have had more for breakfast but the pastry’s and coffee were good for me. You’re just 1 block from the water.

Excellent hotel - soul of Mexico
Great garden, not busy area little away from the main road - no noise dusturbs over nights, very comfortable bed and pillows, kitchen in the room saves money but also bunch of the restaurants arround, fantasticly friendly crew really doing everything to get their gests fully satisfied, definitely would be back again!!!!!

What a fantastic stay! The manager , Gisele was the most caring, service related, helpful hotelier I have ever met. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed slept better than most hotels in Cozumel. Located in a quiet area, easy to walk to downtown restaurants and shopping (ask Gisele she knows everything about the best restaurants). How in the world does this place not get more stars? Compared to other places I have stayed on Cozumel, my rating is at least 4 stars! My new go to place when in Cozumel.

As a guest at Hacienda San Miguel. I felt very much like a guest in Gisela’s home, not like I was staying in a hotel. The property is wonderfully quaint and felt like an authentic Mexican experience; the genuine warmth of Mexico enveloped me from the moment I arrived. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. This will now be an annual destination. If you are looking for a super polished, impersonal experience, with ‘staff’, this is not for you.

The property was fine, outside of their description needing to be updated. No safe in room, no microwave, etc. Dressers need to be replaced. Everything else was excellent. Just be prepared to walk/take taxis. The Mega (similar to Walmart) is about a 20 minute walk one way (~$8 taxi, just walk if you can). The mainland ferry is within view from the street and about a 5 mjnute walk. The staff was great and kept the room immaculate. I never had any issues with any of the staff. They even washed my dishes for me the one day i left a few too many in the sink.
