“Great for a 20s, 30s, 40s crowd. Boutique hotel.”

This hotel very recently changed owners and was practically brand new from the recent renovation. It used to be Hotel Fontana? It is very a small boutique hotel in comparison to the typical large all inclusive resorts on the island. The hot tub is on a small cliff and you can jump off the edge into the ocean. The infinity pool over looks the ocean. The rooms are very modern and swanky. I loved it. The service is amazing. We wanted to rent a scooter to drive around the island and we asked the front desk where to rent one. He had one delivered to us in a few minutes. They printed our boarding pass confirmations for free. I scuba dived 2 days. It was nice to have the boat pick us up on the hotel beach dock. I will be returning next year and highly recommend this hotel.

“A delightful boutique hotel!”

The hotel was charming and the staff were delightful and very helpful. The food was good quality and reasonably priced. The beach area was well maintained and not too crowded. The spa and joga classes were very good. I would definitely stay here again.

“Very good hotel for the price.”

We booked this hotel because we wanted a cheaper trip but were plesantly surprised when we got there. We had a few dislikes about it but I would not hesitate to go there again. The dislikes are; 1. NO fridge in room really sucked when you are not suposed to drink the water and have no fridge to keep pop or beer cold what are you supposed to do? We had to go buy a cooler then get ice from the dinning room but that was a 3 trip deal up to the top floor which got old. 2. The DJ was playing music which was ok but it was kind of loud and played the same beat over and over every day. I felt like going up to him giving him 5$ to shut it off. The first day wasnt bad but the 3rd day it was like "come on please find a new cd!" 3. They would only leave 2 towels everyday so every day we had to go down to get more towels (My wife has long hair and uses 2 after her shower and that leaves me with none) Otherwize everthing was perfect! When I go back to cozumel I will be checking to see if they have the fridges in rooms yet if they do I will be booking.

The hotel was impeccable, the staff were very helpful and friendly. A great atmosphere and beautiful views of the beach from the balcony. A little far from the center of town but a short taxi ride will fix that. Nice to be away from the hub and noise. A great place to relax.

“Looking forward to going back”

This is our second time staying at Hotel Fontan. Our favorite aspects of the hotel are that each room has an ocean front balcony, air conditioning and the hotel is quiet without the typical pressure of buying food and drink when you're trying to relax by the ocean or pool. The hotel staff is very friendly and is willing to help with any arrangements for reservations and also can lend you coolers to keep drinks and snacks chilled in your room. It's not an overly fancy hotel but for the price it is a very good deal. We will definitely be going back!

“Greatest small, clean and affordable hotel.”

Hotel Fontan is a great hotel. It is small, very clean and all the staff is wonderful. It is about a mile and a half from town. It is a nice walk or a cheap taxis ride to town. All the rooms have an excellant view.

Right in front of the great snorkeling and diving spot. Small but pleasant hotel. Hotel staff are all nice and friendly. Wireless internet connection in the lobby area was convenient.

“Hotel Fontan”

A good clean hotel, not fancy but clean rooms and good A/C. They have wifi in the lobby for $3. You can snorkel from the entry area they have. I used it for my dive trip location. Perfect for dive hotel.
