“Very Good Trip”
Great swimming pool, very friendly staff, good restaurant, clean rooms, a lot of fish in the reef just in front of the hotel. 5 minute walk to supermarket, 15 minute walk to the downtown. Our only complaint is that the rooms don't have a refrigerator, so we had to pick up ice from the bar several times a day (we have two little kids). Would definitely visit again. Because of Wilma, the island didn't have too many tourists.
“Super Stay!”
Our stay at Hotel Cozumel was wonderful. Will definitely go back. The staff was helpful, friendly and had humor! Thank you.
“we will be back in September!”
Friendly staff lots of activities, food is great!
“Best Hotel for the money on the island”
This was our second time staying at Hotel Cozumel and this time we went with friend who have never before stayed on Cozumel. They were very impressed with the hotel. Great location, beutiful grounds and pool. great breakfast, great service and helpful staff and all for a great price. The breaksfast was included in our hotel package. We enjoy moving around and eating and drinking at different resturants and beach bars, so we decided the all-inclusive wasn't a good bargain for us. We did eat in the hotel resturant buffet, several evenings and found the food good and was priced right, but it was not exceptional. If you are looking for a nice walk-in beach, this hotel is not for you. Their "beach club area" is fine for getting in the water, snorkeling and relaxing, but would not be good for children. Having free wireless internet service throughout much of the hotel was a real plus for me, since I could read my local newspaper on line each morning. Location is one of the best features of the hotel. A 10-15 minute walk into town or a nice walk with many beachfront resturants in the opposite direction. Finding good places to eat or drink is easy and a short walk from the hotel. Cozumel is really feeling the economic crunch and the whole island is a great value and a great place if you want to avoid crowds.
“All Inclusive, was good- food was ok”
hotel is big, rooms newly renovated with great new a/c systems in the room. great for family's. the food was not great though. its right in the middle of town, great locale to everything. staff is responsive, and laid back which you'll see comes in handy as you are accosted by time share selling people from the airport to the car service. i would go back.
“This is a fantastic place to stay!”
I spent a week at Hotel Cozumel and it was great! The best part was the staff. Everyone always greeted me with a smile, and after a few days I felt like they recognized me individually. The food was great and varied, with a different theme for dinner each night. I actually got a chance to meet the owner of the hotel and his family. You won't find a more down to earth group on the island and it's reflected in the hotel staff. As a practical matter, the hotel is a short walk from town and is affiliated with Dive Paradise(great operation!) which directly across the street. Very convenient for us divers. Choose this hotel. They will bend over backwards to make you comfortable and ensure that you have an enjoyable stay.
“Good Resort; Great Value”
Check in was quick and easy. The room was available when we arrived. The room was on the first floor just off the lobby. It was clean and comfortable. The king-sized bed had a firm mattress, which we like. There was a small table and 2 chairs, a dresser, 2 nightstands and a TV. There was bottled water in the room and a certified pure bottled water stand just outside our room. The hotel does offer an all-inclusive package. Our package included breakfast only. The breakfast buffet wasn’t huge, but it had all the basics and had a cook-to-order omelet station. The service was excellent. The grounds were nice and well maintained. There was a big pool (it wasn’t heated) and a nice hot tub. There was nightly entertainment. The Black Light show was really good especially the You Can Keep Your Hat On skit. Do not miss it. There is a tunnel that leads from the resort under the road to the beach. There is a sandy area with beach chairs, tables and umbrellas. There really wasn’t a beach there, but a wall with ladders leading to the crystal clear water and a dock. Dive Paradise has a dive shop on site with lockers for your gear. There is a restaurant and bar here also, but the restaurant was closed during our stay due to dust created by roadwork. The roadwork did not cause any problems though with the rest of the resort. The resort is about a 15-20 minute walk to down town. All in all it was a clean, comfortable resort with good service and a good location especially for the price.
“Can't wait to go back.”
The rates for scuba diving with dive paradise were less than other dive groups and these dive masters are top notch. Jose Chile and Giovani were our dive masters and I thought they were extremely observant to each of the divers and to showing us some really spectacular sea life. Thank you!
“Great place for the price”
Pro's: Large pool, nice bilingual staff, very clean, 15 min walk or $3 cab from the main town, very clean Con's: food was not great, I recommend getting the breakfast at the hotel and going other places for lunch and dinner (if you plan to drink alcohol then go for the all-inclusive because alcohol is included), the queen beds were more like full and the kings were like queens, if you book your room on-line be sure that they give you what you paid for. Overall, it was nice for the price but it's not what you think of when you think of a resort.
“Wonderful Stay at the Hotel Cozumel”
We had a wonderful week long stay at the Hotel Cozumel. We were a family of 3, 2 adults and a 12 year old. We are not divers, but we loved the snorkeling and the fun of the water. We did the all inclusive and it was well worth it for the convenience of it alone. The add on rate was so low that we could of eaten dinner out every night in town and it still would of been worth it for drinks, lunch and snacks. the entertainment staff was very good-hello to Tony and the team-and the pool area was great. We liked the close location to town and the ease of getting around the island. This is not a fancy property but it has all the comforts of a great little resort that one could ask for. Go and enjoy.
