Price for NicePosted Dec 3, 2013
Pros: Price and friendly staff
Cons: The distance between my house and Hotel Cozumel
Location: Maga mart is right down the road and the dive shop is across the street. Down town is a few minutes and there's a National Park near by.
It's a very nice hotel. Staff was friendly, rooms always clean and services always availabe. Food was good, but I stayed here in 2010 and it seemed better and they had an entertaining staff, which was not there this time. I know, things change. But that won't keep me away. When I returned to Cozumel I will stay here. Both times I stayed they had the best prices. There are some hotels that are nicer but it's gonna cost you, so if you're on a budget like me, I highly recommand Hotel Cozumel. They also offer diving trips in which I took part in and its excellent diving. I also recommand the "All Inclusive" trip, it makes it sooo much easier and you end up paying less in the long run. My stays at Hotel Cozumel were: April 2010 and July 2013. Hope you enjoy have fun and be safe.

Another fantastic stay at Hotel CozPosted Oct 28, 2013
Pros: Staff is very friendly.
Location: It is close to walk into town. Very safe.
We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Cozumel. We arrived early so our room wasn't ready. But no problem; they held our bags while we went into town:) Check-in went smoothly. Our room was great: comfy King-size bed, cool a/c, clean bathroom, nice flat-screen tv. Pool looked great, but we didn't have a chance to swim, too busy diving! The "beachside" is looking nice! The palm trees are growing taller, and the lounge chairs are great! Staff is so nice and friendly! We are missing you guys already. Hope to see you next year:)

Pros: Price was comparable. Largest pool on island.
Location: Dock for easy pickup for scuba diving.
Easy access to ocean ( walkway/hallway under busy road). Dive Paradise dive shop right across from hotel. Food was good. 15 minute walk to downtown.

Great Hotel. Longtime favoritePosted Oct 8, 2013
Pros: Great AC in rooms!
Cons: The main hotel restaurant was closed for lunch, leaving only the pool restaurant as a choice. However, this was the low season.
Location: The hotel is across the street from Dive Paradise. You can rent a tank of air for $6 and dive right there. Its barely walking distance to downtown.
We had a group of people in 4 different rooms. Everyone said that the rooms were clean and the AC worked great. The hotel is walking distance to downtown, but just barely. I have been staying at this hotel since 1995 when it had a different name. Our last stay was in 2010, and I am sure that the prices for food have actually gone down, although it may just be that we went during the low season and they supposedly had 20% occupancy. For example, the continental breakfast was $5 US, the full buffet $10, and a hamburger and fries at the pool restaurant was $4 US. I seem to remember that everything was an extra $5. The hotel advertises free wifi, and it was fast enough to handle Apple's video FaceTime and Skype with no problem. In any event, our stay was great. We would recommend this hotel again.

Nice place, decent pricePosted Aug 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
Stayed here two nights because close to downtown and dive shop, reasonable price, and liked the access to water. The hotel is nice but nothing special. It is actually on the side of the street away from the ocean and go down a tunnel to come to the hotel area on the water. We got a reduced rate and that made it a good choice. It is about 1.7KM to downtown/ferry and that can be expensive; we walked most of the times so not an issue for us. It is close to a Mega which can be handy. Would go back at the reduced rate. Didn't do the Inclusive option or participated in any of the activities. Breakfast was nice and people working there nice and helpful.

Very welcomingPosted Aug 20, 2013
Pros: The facilities were in good condition with a really large pool area. The room was comfortable with nice TV and excellent A/C
Cons: Food quality varied considerably and could be improved Some tiled areas needed the tiles leveled and cracks repaired Chest of drawers were broken
Location: Scuba diving
The experience was very positive. The staff were very friendly, accommodating and always willing to help or assist.

Not awful, could do betterPosted Aug 14, 2013
Cons: Staff friendliness.
Location: Downtown nearby; easy access to good restaurants.
Location is decent, though don't be misled into thinking it's a beachfront hotel. Front desk staff varies greatly -- some were really helpful, some couldn't care less and more or less told us to buzz off. Heated pool is a plus for the evenings. We had to switch rooms twice during a 4 night stay thanks to broken air conditioning (the first night, it dripped copiously; the second day, someone came to "fix" it and instead turned our room into a sauna for the second night; the third night, we were switched into a different room; the fourth night, we were moved to yet another room). Fairly cheap, so if you're planning to wander around the island most of the time anyway it isn't too bad of an option -- and it's about a 10-20 minute walk to downtown/restaurants (10ish for the touristy downtown; 20ish if you want to go to Avenida 30 for some actually decent food) so you could do worse. We didn't do the all-inclusive option, so I don't know much about the in-house restaurant.

location was nice. Food was sometimes very good.Posted Aug 9, 2013
Pros: The dive team staff were good and not to crowded boats.
Cons: More tourist without 5 kids in tow
The hotel must advertise specials . Hotel had mostly local Family's with lots of kids screaming throughout halls and pool. We arrived with about 200 volleyball kids pool was warm with way too many people in it . I would not recommend this hotel.
