Close to the ferry and shoppingPosted Jul 4, 2015
Pros: laid back atmosphere
Cons: TV channels, newer and quieter air-condition units
Location: near to everything but the beach.
Great staff and nice breakfast in the morning, not a resort hotel but for my simple needs I enjoyed my stay.

Heart of CozumelPosted Jun 11, 2015
Pros: Location, staff.
Cons: Update the noisy air conditioning units.
Location: The ferry to Playa Del Carmen is a stone throw away. Great places to eat and drink all within walking distance
Hotel Plaza Cozumel is exactly what other travelers said it was, perfect location, clean, friendly staff. Good morning breakfast. The air conditioner was a bit loud but did it's job. Nothing fancy here but a great place to stay.

Best vacation because of the staffPosted Jun 11, 2015
The breakfast is the main reason we will keep stating here. Doña Julia and the chef are simply amazing. Beat the food at Park Royal and Occidental hotels. Loved the staff, the rooms are clean and everyone is helpful. Felt like I was at home. Beautiful pool view.

Clean and quiet spot close to the passenger ferryPosted May 21, 2015
Coming from an all inclusive resort, staying at this hotel was a bit of a shock. It isn't the lap of luxury, but it was a welcome refuge on our Cozumel vacation. It is clean, quiet, and definitely worth the price we paid. The rooftop pool was a great perk but it seemed like the chemicals were a little off (felt a bit slimy). There were a few ants and another random bug in the room. The beds were small with hard pillows but had clean linens. All in all, we would stay here again for the price.

Hotel Plaza Cozumel- 6 nights through May 1, 2015Posted May 3, 2015
Pros: Customer service was great. One of our light bulbs burnt out of our lamps and we mentioned it to Housekeeping and within mins Maintenance replaced it!
Cons: Not much can be approved upon... This is not a 5 Star Hotel but for the price, location, amenities and service, it was more than enough for us!!!
Location: Location is Wonderful & Perfect! Everything is within walking distance; shops, restaurants, Museum, Ferry, taxis etc... Plenty to see and do!
This was a great find! Because of the low price we expected average service but we experienced above average service in every area! The breakfast was wonderful! Something colorful and different every day and plenty enough to start you off with energy to go sight seeing on the beautiful Island of Cozumel. The roof top pool was a delight! It was clean and many times we enjoyed it all to ourselves. You could easily watch the cruise ships come in and out... Our 3rd floor room was spacious with a refrigerator, cooling tile and a partial view of the Ocean. The maid service was exceptional, we loved the different towel art left on our beds every day and daily bottled water. Air conditioning was wonderfully cold and the Shower pressure was great too! Everyone from the front desk staff to the cook to housecleaning were always friendly and busy cleaning and doing their jobs well. There is free WIFI and plenty of seating to enjoy great morning coffee or evening lounging. We always felt very safe and well cared for. Bakery right next door and you can walk to the Ferry dock within a couple of mins. Shopping and Restaurants all around. Truly a great location. Plenty of Taxis are right outside so never a long wait. we wouldn't hesitate staying here again!

Perfect locationPosted Apr 29, 2015
We enjoyed this basic hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooftop pool was perfect. The rooms were basic but very clean. The complimentary breakfast was outstanding, most mornings being cooked to order. We enjoyed going to the local restaurants and the location was perfect for walking around town. We felt very safe in this location as well.

Great location and breakfast!Posted Apr 27, 2015
This hotel is a great quality hotel. I really enjoyed the free breakfasts each morning and the rooftop pool after diving! My friends and I also loved the location. Only 10 minutes to the airport and everything is walking distance, shopping, restaurants, the ferry to Playa Del Carmen, so you only have to take a taxi to the marina, which is only like $9 one way. There is also a bakery next door. The wifi is sometimes slow and the beds are a little too firm for me but still bearable. The A/C window unit seemed loud at first, but I got used to it. The maid service is great. They make animal figures with the towels daily :) The hotel does not have a bar but there is a cute local outdoor bar/restaurant around the block that was fun and has live music ("Wet Wendy's"). I would stay again if I want to save on hotel.

Great placePosted Apr 21, 2015
Super clean which is very important. Breakfast was awesome. For families or couples. The pool needs to be cleaner was suprise about the pool not being clean since the rest of the place was spotless. Hallways, lobby, rooms were super clean always but not the pool. Friendly staff. Great location.
