Beautiful!!Posted May 20, 2015
Pros: We loved the room, the food, and the hotel staff.
Location: There are great places to go snorkeling and scuba diving, Chankanaab is wonderful, and the pirate dinner cruise was a blast!
Melia was beautiful! The room was exactly as shown in the photos provided, we loved the king size bed and the jetted tub on the patio. Being able to walk out of the back door right on to the beach was just perfect and the location of the room was on the far side of the building so the beach area right outside our room was very rarely occupied and far less busy than the other areas of the beach. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and you never had to try and find a cab as they had their bell boys constantly available to call the cabs up from the street for you. The all inclusive benefit was great too, all we had to do was walk or swim up to the bar for a drink, order as many drinks as we wanted, and we never had to wait long. The food was great, and the buffet always had something grilling up fresh and made to order. They have a different show or entertainment nightly.

We loved the hotel but the beach wasn't very good.Posted May 20, 2015
The hotel is the last one on the end of the strip so the water is murky and choppy. They serve top shelf liquor and everyone was extreme nice. Typical buffet food.

Nice price and nice beachPosted May 5, 2015
Pros: The beach that the hotel sat on was gorgeous. The hotel staff were all amazing.
Cons: The food is not the best. And they charge $2.00 for a phone call down to the front desk to be transferred to order a pizza.
Location: It is very close to the airport and close San Miguel.
The staff was amazing and everything was very clean. The food was ok. The beds were not very comfortable.

Pros: very friendly staff - some times a little to much. some just want to sell you the member ship good location clean beach clean facilities/rooms

INTERNETPosted Apr 16, 2015
Normally while I vacations I like to unplug from reality for a few days, on this trip I knew I would have to complete some work on a few days, when I made the reservation it said that wifi was included with my package, when I got there I found out that it would be $10 a day for your room. They did have wifi available in the lobby. Other wise the staff was great, and very helpful. The food was great with plenty of options.

Nice hotel for a last minute bookingPosted Apr 10, 2015
The hotel is average for an all inclusive property. The beach was not the best and a lot of the beach chairs were damaged I'm presuming from a storm but there was little to no attempt to repair and make presentable. The food was pretty tasty however don't waste time making reservations for the restaurants. The buffet will have the same meal for that particular day. For the money spent I will say it was ok but I'm definitely accustomed to more when I travel to the Carribean. Also there was no service on the beach like other resorts. It was slightly annoying having to constantly get up from the sun to order drinks, etc. oh and the rooms had these little ants all in the bathroom.
