Incredible beach snorkeling and diving!

Posted Jun 23, 2014
Pros: This is a gorgeous setting.
Cons: The food is excellent but a little pricey.
Location: You are close enough to the city that you can easily go in for meals and shopping.
The staff is exceptionally friendly and the hotel is great. The snorkeling and beach diving is wonderful. We saw a tremendous amount of marine life. The dive shop at the hotel is great and are very safety conscious.

short, but sweet getaway from home.

Pros: The quiet elegance. No screaming teenagers. There was even a huge wedding going on while there, and we heard nothing.
Cons: Wish it had a tub in every room, but that's ok with me. The sea is my tub!
Location: Very near the BEST snorkeling on the island and you don't have to buy an excursion. Just go south from the hotel, Big Money Bar.Best free snorkeling!
I had experienced a devastating loss March 2, so I took my best girlfriend to Cozumel to get away from all the sorrow. She had never been, so I decided to take her to the best hotel on the island. We had a beautiful ground floor room with a patio that opened right onto the beach. Coffee delivered every morning (delicious) and great food at any place there, she was in paradise that she had never seen. At night I went down to the beach for star gazing and my dear beloved one sent me a HUGE star almost directly to me. I know it was him. She and I just took it very easy and all the staff were so nice. The place is understated elegance. Always clean. The staff always accommodating, just perfect. This was April 3-7 and even though a shower or 2 went through, the sun came out every day and topped it off with Cozumel's glorious sunset. It is a bit more in price than some of the other hotels, but we were not big eaters or drinkers, so it was perfect for us. Nice and quiet and a great place to make one feel not so sad, as in my case. So, save your money, and splurge and see just what this elegant hotel has to offer. You will NOT be disappointed. I will be back. I have been coming here since 2000 nearly every year...sometimes twice in a year.

Great location. Bit too expensive Nice staff

Posted May 30, 2014
Pros: The location, cleanliness, friendly staff.
Cons: Food. Breakfasts are very good, although we missed the waffles. We did not even try the gourmet restaurant, we were out for dinner.
Location: Location great, close enough to town but far enough from noise and vendors , we are divers, so we did a lot of that with scuba du.
We love to come back. Food is not as fresh as it used to be. Staff very friendly, specially the locals. We loved the reef right in front of the rooms, although is not as alive perhaps due to the 5 cruise ships that arrive everyday and are relatively close to the hotel. The beaches and public areas are kept clean and in order. It was a bit too expensive. Still we will come back and recomend to our friends and family.

Great place to stay if you love to snorkel & scuba

Posted May 27, 2014
Pros: The beach front hotel rooms are beautiful. Great beachfront access.
Cons: Pool room views need to be improved as the palm trees obstructed the ocean on the second floor. Too many mosquitos. Food and drink prices are high.
Location: Scuba-du is located at the hotel. It has a snorkel trip that I highly recommend which takes you out to three different coral reefs.
Hotel has two beach sides that give you access to plenty of fish to view while you are snorkeling. I even saw a huge crab.

Very nice hotel set in a tropical, natural area.

Posted May 19, 2014
Pros: Atmosphere, courtesy of staff, beach area, spa.
Cons: Not impressed with the food, very bland and expensive for what is offered.
Location: On business, so spent most of the day in Cozumel.
Met by iguanas at the beach, lovely courtesies by the front desk staff and clean, well equipped rooms. Enjoyed our stay while in Cozumel on business, but did need lots of taxi service as it is a way from ports and town.

Incredible view!

Posted May 19, 2014
Pros: I really liked the private beach. I also liked that this hotel is gated with a gate guard.
Location: My stay was work related and so I did not have an opportunity to take advantage of the scuba diving, snorkeling, or guided tours.
This is the hotel to stay at if you are coming to Cozumel to relax. A spa, two pools , one is adult only, and a private beach. There is an outdoor restaurant with an incredible view of the ocean. The food was great and the drinks were well made. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Housekeeping decorated animal shaped towels with leaves and flowers. I had a bull, a turtle, and an elephant. A new bottle of water is brought to the room everyday along with a new supply of high quality soaps, shampoo, and conditioner. It is a $9.00 cab ride to the downtown restaurants and shopping.
