Wonderful Vacation Experience

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: This was a very beautiful and relaxing place.
Location: The hotel has it's own beaches and ocean front. It is south of the main town a few miles which is nice.
We enjoyed the beach, snorkeling, hotel pool and restaurants. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I took a beginner scuba lesson at the hotel which was great. The spa was also nice, but a bit pricey.

We love the hotel.

Posted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: I have answered this in the previous paragraph. We were sorry that the hotel makes it difficult to tip the room staff.
We have stayed at the El Presidente about 8 times. The staff is wonderful. The food is excellent. The rooms have been remodeled and updated. My husband loves to swim in the ocean, but I prefer the pool. It is well maintained and heated to about 86 degrees- about the same as the air temperature. We rent a car and do some sight-seeing. They have very good security at the hotel. We plan a return trip in about 6 months. We think that the hotel should give discounted rates for such loyal clients without joining a club- which was being heavily promoted. We are only sorry that travel from Newport Beach to Cozumel is difficult. The better flight rates are from LAX. The airport is so big and required a change of terminals for our flight. We are going to look into other cities like Houston for our next visit.

Get away from stress

Posted Jul 15, 2014
Lovely, tranquil and relaxing, with some of the best service I've experienced. Not crowded at all in July. Room cost is reasonable, but food and drinks are too pricey for what you get. Overall, would go again in a heartbeat.

Book Now Great Hotel!

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: We loved everything.
Cons: I would say that the lunch and breakfast(purchase the breakfast package) menu items are a bit pricey but very delicious.
My wife and I absolutely loved this hotel. We honestly have nothing bad to say. Great service, great quality, nice beach and beautiful resort. You'll love it... book it now before there aren't any vacancies left.

Great snorkeling on site.

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: The beach, reef, meals and Huge thirsty towels. The private adult pool was very nice.
Cons: The tap water is non-potable. You are provided only a 1.5 L purified bottle / day. Not nearly enough for two people spending all day on the beach!
Location: Chankanaab park has great snorkeling. You can swim with dolphins. View crocodiles. Fun place worth the money.
We had an ocean view and got to see the cruise ships arriving in the morning and leaving in the evening. Very cool. Two snorkeling areas within the property, one with a sunken catamaran with tons of fish around!

nice hotel on the beach

Posted Jun 29, 2014
Many of the hotels in Cozumel are separated by a busy street from the actual beach. Not the Presidente - it sits right on its own sandy beach. The design is all white and beiges, very relaxing for the eyes and tasteful. Spacious, beautiful rooms. Nice landscaping. Good breakfast buffet. Clean pools. Very friendly staff. Peer for scuba diving pick-up (also by non-Scuba Du dive operations) very convenient. Cons: expensive restaurants and spa (both over-prized); average taxi price into town is $9 and the ride takes about 10min.

Incredible beach snorkeling and diving!

Posted Jun 23, 2014
Pros: This is a gorgeous setting.
Cons: The food is excellent but a little pricey.
Location: You are close enough to the city that you can easily go in for meals and shopping.
The staff is exceptionally friendly and the hotel is great. The snorkeling and beach diving is wonderful. We saw a tremendous amount of marine life. The dive shop at the hotel is great and are very safety conscious.
