Beat expectations.

We stayed on rooftop room with private pool. Strongly recommend this feature. Restaurants are solid and service is very good. Short ride from airport (20min). Small enough where you have privacy. Adults only is a great feature. Clean and sharp resort.

Not a fan

Posted Apr 9, 2015
This was our first all adult all inclusive hotel and will likely be our last. It seems that some adults are just obnoxious at these places. I prefer a family atmosphere. We arrived on a Friday afternoon and upon check in were greeted with a hard sell about the "company" and their vacation packages. It was definitely a turn-off for us. They must have a weekend and week day staff because the weekend food was bland and often cold. Weekend staff not terribly friendly. Both improved over our weeks stay but I wouldn't brag about either. Mattress and pillows were rock hard. I did get a softer pillow and mattress topper when I discussed it with staff which improved comfort level a little. Lighting in room very poor. Only had a lamp on one nightstand. It was impossible to even read a book at night due to lighting. Entertainment was fairly good. Spa prices were inflated and too expensive even with "coupons" provided. Grounds and beach are gorgeous. The overall experience fell short of expectations for this kind of resort.

Great resort to relax and meet new people.

Posted Mar 30, 2015
Pros: All the bars at Secrets provided a nice atmosphere to meet new people. The bartender at Rendezvous, Santiago Ventura, was the nicest Secrets emoloyee.
Cons: I would have liked to see a better and bigger gym at the resort. The gym at the other resort was way to small and got crowded every day.
Location: I never had to leave the resort but there is a place to rent a car of moped close to the back of the hotel which added a nice option.
I had a great time at Secrets Aura. The staff always provided excellent service and made my vacation all the more enjoyable. The quality and variety of food at the restaurants were better than I expected. I never had a bad meal throughout my time at the resort. Coco Cafe, the resorts coffee house, was a great place to start off my morning and I also found myself going back there after every meal. Most of my time at the resort was spent relaxing on the beach which was calm and relaxing. Snorkel equipment is provided to use at the resort for two hours which I thought was a great perk to check out all the fish hanging out under the pier or by the shore line.

6 Days inCozumel March 21-27 2015

Posted Mar 28, 2015
Pros: Clean,Nice room, Good food and great staff
Cons: More beach chairs!
Location: Used Taxi to go into town Used the Dive House on site to go scuba diving. Far away from the cruise ship ports. They have a pier for easy pick up
The Hotel was very nice. Clean beach, Nice staff. Great food at the Windows Restaurant. We ate there most of the time for Dinner. Guys must wear long pants at the Bordeaux Restaurant! Food was very good there! We used the Dive House on site to go Suba Diving twice and loved it! They need more beach chair so you need to get up early to claim one. They fill up fast. Nice pools nothing big. Kinda loud at night so wear ear plugs. Lots of banging and tapping.Room was nice with a beach view.Snorkling was just ok there. We would go back for sure!

Pros: Not too big, not too small
Cons: heating the pools would be nice, they still need to remodel some of the rooms.
Location: Always lots to do in Cozumel
Just became a Secrets resort not too long ago, still upgrading the facility. Overall had a good time.

A romantic five night stay

Posted Mar 26, 2015
We loved it! This is my second Secrets visit (first time in Cozumel) and we will be back! The service was outstanding and even though it's your typical resort food we thought it was above average and had a lot of variety! The hotel had so many different activities to choose from and were very helpful when we had questions or needs. We watched the sunset from the sky bar every night and enjoyed the beachside service everyday! You can snorkel 10 feet from the beach! And we loved the water slide from our room!
