The rooms neither have the mobile network nor hotel wifi signals. Serious light pollution to the dark night atmosphere incurred by the lights inside the vacanted rooms without window curtains. No staff will willing to offer helping hands to you after their reception hours.

We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay again if we are ever back in the area. The room was spacious and had everything we needed, the breakfast/dinner options and quality are better than several places I have stayed at and staff were excellent both really friendly and helpful. The nearby walks and wildlife were great and the hotel is conveniently located for accessing Cradle Mountain.

The property was great but the Tavern was pretty terrible. There were 4 of us. Meals came out at different times, and one meal did not come out at all. We had to ask twice before we got it. Service was terrible, tables were not cleared, yet staff were laughing and mucking around. The Highlander restaurant was excellent.

The stay in a wooden lodge was simply divine for my wife and I. The scenery from the balcony was amazing and peaceful, we saw so much native wildlife just walking around the lodge grounds too. Will stay again!

Beautiful mountain resort in sublime Cradle Mountain. Dining options good for a couple nights very well presented. Staff members were all very nice and helpful even retrieved my phone I left behind at table for me. No doubt best option to stay for hiking and ranger park bus entry.

Stayed 2 nights in a cabin. The cabin looked to be recently renovated and was in great condition, the gas log fire worked a treat and the animals at dusk around the grounds make this place special.

Amazing location, nice cosy mountain vibe. Lovely breakfast. The cabins are well equipped and feel luxe inside despite the school camp exterior. Well situated within walking distance of the shuttle stop. A lovely treat, would stay again.

Fantastic property - has everything you need in an amazing location. Clean and comfortable. All staff were amazing. Breakfast is solid. Food at the restaurant is average and overpriced but if you read the reviews, you know that before you go and you wont be disappointed.

Nice location but not good value for money as accommodation is tired and no air conditioning in cabins so not good in summer but in winter OK as gas fire in room. Main Fine Dining was disappointing the Duck was over cooked and the side dish arrived at the end of the meal. The saving grace was Alex who had good wine knowledge and gave us a complementary liquor at the end of the meal to make up for the poor service. However, the alternative casual restaurant was good value and I would recommend dining there for all meals. The main issue was that the hotel mistakenly billed my Amex for $15,340.75 (for two days stay) the day prior to my arrival, advised me of the mistake and said they had had it reversed it but on my return to NZ I discovered that it had not been reversed , hopefully that will be sorted out today !

Beautiful lodge in the national park
Beautiful lodge located in the national park. Nice room, good breakfast, two good options for dining (a cheap and an expensive one). The only problem is the lack of WIFI in the room.

Checking in is smooth and easy. Hotel staff are also very friendly and helpful. One major downside is no wifi in the room when even my own mobile data couldn’t get signal in mountainous areas and wifi only available at the lobby.

The cabin we had was very spacious with a king bed. Lovely and quiet. Was let down by heater in bathroom not working and no fan in the bedroom/lounge. Quite expensive. Food in bistro was very nice. Breakfast was ok.

Fantastic experience. Magical. There were wombats, wallabies, and echidna everywhere in the evening. Just walk out of your cabin and you would easily spot them. Take a stroll through Enchanted Walk and nearby Pencil Pine and waterfall trails. Seamless check in and check out. Happy with all meals at the hotel, especially the Tavern. Easy access to Cradle Mountain. We bought the two months vehicle pass that allows us to drive to the Dove Lake and all national parks.

Perfect location to go to Cradle Mountain! Not only I can catch a shuttle bus for Dove lake but also hike a few hikes near the hotel. The room is clean and lovely. While I was staying in the hotel, I saw wild animals from my room such as wombats and wallabies. I had a amazing experience!!

It was a wonderful experience going to the resort, where we saw wombats, wallabies and echidnas eating by the roadside. The location lived up to its reputation. The lodge itself was lovely. The accommodation was fantastic with the staff supportive as much as possible. Only fault we felt was that we were told at reception we could just go to the spa to book in a time, yet when we went there after checking in, they said they couldn't fit us in at all and were even closed next day. We decided not to bother but it would have been better to have this info in advance. Overall, great stay and we'll be back!

Great stay!
Perfect location to explore Cradle Mountain. The cabins are beautiful, although a little rustic very clean and comfortable. Other amenities like the restaurant and walks are great too.

A top place to stay if you are visiting Cradle for a few days. You can't get closer to the park with some short walks starting from the lodge. Food at the pub is good to very good. All the dishes I tried were fresh and tasty though a bit under spiced for my taste. Loved the log fires in the main lodge. They provided an excellent place to relax when the weather was less than ideal for doing one of the many exceptional day hikes the park has to offer.

Beautiful property. Lovely accomodation set in an amazing area. The service and food were great. The Alpine Spa was incredible. Waking distance to all the great walks around Cradle Mountain. I would definitely recommend it.

Awesome visit!
Wonderful stay! Location was super convenient. Loved the fireplace in the room and in the lodge area. Staff were friendly and helpful. The lady at the front desk gave us great recommendations for the tasmanian devil tour and the hikes. Really had a great experience! Highly recommend!!!
