Did not feel safe in the side parking lot near the rear door. Saw a few homeless people hanging around there. I was told there is security cameras there but no staff was around. Complimentary breakfast was good. Lots of food choices and coffee was good. Staff very friendly.

The pool was closed which was not advertised, the facility was in a bit of disrepair however the room itself seemed clean. The bathtub would not really drain well, so while showering it filled up with water.

Thank you for your feedback. We will have maintenance look at the tub drain.The pool is outside and it is still -5C overnight recently so cannot be used. It is indicated as a seasonal pool and Expedia notes that it open the end of May until early October, weather depending. Perhaps it will be open when you return next.

Will never go back. Jacuzzi could barely fit one person. Pre authorization on card still not lifted after more than two weeks. Staff was snotty about early check in and also the hold not being lifted. Plus two pre authorizations in same stay. Stay away

I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us. The jacuzzi is not a family sized and designed for 1 person. Your pre-auth was released by us the day you checked out, so I would suggest calling your bank to see when they will return it to you, as it is out of our hands since the day you left. Check in time is 4pm and we do not guarantee early access to your room, although we do try to accommodate when possible at no extra charge for you.

Room was okay, needed some cosmetic maintenance done (wallpaper peeling, poorly patched in places, stains that needed to be painted, dresser drawer that wouldn’t stay closed), attention to detail regarding cleanliness in bathroom is needed ( clean the floor behind the bathroom door, hair in sink etc)

The hotel was clean and the breakfast was good, beds were comfy. However at breakfast, they make you ask the staff to put the food on plate vs self serving. That’s a bit awkward for a hotel breakfast. The other thing I didn’t like was the overpowering smell from the Indian restaurant next door. I couldn’t fall asleep for a long time because of this strong smell.

Stayed for one night, family of four with two little kids. We arrived later in the evening and check in was quick and easy. The key initially didn’t work so had to go back to let front desk know, issue was quickly resolved. Property’s dated and that’s very apparent, but clean. For one or couple of nights, it really is reasonable for the price. Beds were comfy, it was quiet. The AC in our room didn’t work but since we were only staying one night, we opened the windows to let the breeze in and we managed. We let the staff know upon check out and front desk was quick to fill out a maintenance form for it. Breakfast was surprisingly good! They had bacon, scrambled eggs, sausages, and hashbrowns along with other staples like cereal, bread, bagels, yogurt. Staff seemed really friendly and helpful. It was a nice, pleasant stay overall.

The wife loved the Dove soap dispensers in the bathroom,and the deep bathtub ,water pressure was abit weak took for ever to fill tub but really over all i would say they didnt diapoint had a quiet night away from home

The appearance of the front lobby was quite nice with the fireplace and welcoming seating. I especially appreciated the coffee and tea bar in the front lobby. I also though it was a nice touch to have a games room. I loved the shampoo/creme rinse/ soap/ lotion dispensers in the room. Cuts down on plastics and very handy. The breakfast included was great. We were pleasantly surprised with all the selections. The only thing I didn't like about the room was the coffee/tea maker. The location made it difficult to put the water in it.

The hotel sign was very bright and flashing, the blackout curtains didn’t cover the windows adequately to mitigate this; difficult to sleep due to that light.

Could not watch TV because the picture was to dim. Staff attempted to fix the problem, but he left the TV went back to the same way. Very frustrating. Not happy.

I have let our maintenance department know to reset the TV to "Standard" mode; some guests change this to "Vibrant" which then brightens and dims the TV depending on the ambient light in the room.

It was difficult to control the heat in our room, especially at night. The curtains did not adequately cover the window, allowing light from street lamps to enter the room at night. The wall paper looks dated and was peeling off in the bathroom. Room was rather small to stay in for 7 days. All staff members were warm and friendly. The chicken in cashew sauce was outstanding from the BayLeaf restaurant. Breakfast was good, warm and lots of variety to chose from. Felt safe in the area. The room was very quiet being located fronting the busy street.

We are in the process of doing some renovations on the hotel this Spring, including new curtains and replacing the wallpapering in the rooms.Other than these issues currently slated to be replaced, I am glad you found the staff friendly and helpful, and otherwise had an enjoyable stay.

Good location and great staff but....The hideaway bed was not cleaned and had dirty linens on there. The room had no 'do not disturb/service room' sign so the room was made up twice (not the hide-a-bed though), needlessly because we had no way to opt out of the clean until we checked out. Some simple and easy changes could have greatly improved the rating.

I have spoken with the Housekeeping Supervisor to ensure all rooms are done correctly and then inspected to ensure they are ready for all arrivals, and be sure this does not happen again on your next visit with us.

I thought the breakfast offered was wonderful. Did not like the fact that the door lock wasn’t secure and the door was loose in its frame. Very small room despite a King size bed. Noise of traffic outside was awful. Noise in the hallway and from the laundry area below our room was terrible.
