What a thrill when we opened the door to our room to find we had been upgraded and given a bottle of complimentary wine in honour of our 55th anniversary. Staff treated us royally and it was one of the nicest hotel experiences we have ever enjoyed. We were disappointed in Kimberley, as it no longer carries the Bavarian theme we so enjoyed years ago, but have absolutely no complaints about our accommodations. Thanks for
a memorable stay.

The hotel is out away from town. It is worth the drive, as all the things that you would want for a stay. Great golf course and friendly staff. We ended up in two doubles instead of a queen because of the way we booked the room, but that was our fault. GPS needed Golf Eugene to find the site. On par with a top resort anywhere.

"Nice hotel in the center of town, close to shops"
I liked the friendly, helpfulness of the staff. I liked the well rounded continental breakfast. I liked the fact that you stepped out of the hotel right on main street, close to shops, banks, drug stores, grocery stores, etc. I would certainly send my friends there. They also have a pub/restaurant with a large outdoor patio to enjoy as you eat and the food was very good.

Lots of room to lay out luggage, clean, park right outside door, ( except about 5 rooms on second level), even a jetted bath tub to relax in! Exterior was very neat and modern, owner/ managers were very friendly. I can't think of anything lacking - even had an outdoor pool which we regretfully never had time to use. Definitely would stay there again.

The Griz has a great location. It's simple but functional. Our room had a small fridge and microwave. Nice hot tubs and easy access to everything at Fernie. If you don't get a deal it may not be what you are looking for but for what we paid we were very happy.
