“Tough to Sleep”
The rooms were clean and comfortable, but the heating/ventilation unit was incredibly loud, and made it difficult to sleep soundly. Breakfast was okay. There are no local amenities within walking distance (ie, other places to eat, drugstore, etc). I would look for other options when returning to this area.
“Smoking or Non-smoking?”
Because we were combining a visit with relatives and a vacation, we stayed there 3 different times within a 2 week period. First stay was excellent. At checkout we asked to stay in that same room for our 2nd stay. They said they would try, but gave us a room that had some damage to the door leading to the hallway and I felt that was a security issue. For the 3rd stay, the moment we opended our room door we could tell that is was a smoker's room. I immediately called to inform them of this. They said it was a non-smoking room, yet there were 2 ashtrays available in the room. They seem to want to answer all questions by saying that all rooms are booked. This also happened when we tried to check in early. They were always sold out the night before, so early check in was not possible. Overall, I would say that I might stay there again, but I am certain that I will look elsewhere first.
“Felt like home and convenient to stores”
Very nicely located in a more suburban community with a hotel staff that is very polite and accommodating. Very clean.
“Homewood Suites better than a small hotel room”
I like the Homewood Suites brand for multi-day stays because you have a little kitchenette and a reading/TV room separate from the bedroom. Otherwise the quality is similar to Courtside Marriott or Hilton Garden Inns. This was a pretty typical example of Homewood Suites. Right off the Garden State Parkway in an area without many hotels of this type.
“Not so great”
I was kind of put off by the stains on the carpet and upholstery in the room. Otherwise fine for what it is. But they really need to clean/replace these stained items.
“close to everything”
We found homewood suites when we stayed in Baltimore and fell in love with them. When we took a trip to NJ this December, we looked for them near were we like to stay. They were there, and we were not dissapoinrted. They are close to the parkway, and not far from all major roads in the Cranford NJ area. The rooms are spaceous, clean and comfortable. For either a short or long stay this place can't be beat. The breakfast is wonderful, and Monday through Thursday they offer an evening reception. All arer part of your cost. When we return to NJ next year, this will be the place we will stay.
“Cranford's Best”
Everything was great, except for a couple of minor "hardware issues" with the towel rack and the sink, which we left for the maintenance staff to repair after our stay. The staff was exceptional and the service was superb. Our family (6 rooms)came into town for a funeral and the staff made sure our stay with them did not add to the stress. It was very nice.

we where in the hotel for one nite it left us with good taste like we where there for a week we had the best time there and the fodd is very good chani from roswell ga
