Good Not Great

Posted Aug 23, 2014
Pros: The grounds were nicely kept and spacious. The private cottage was large and spacious.
Cons: The rooms need to be updated.
Location: There was not much very close by. You need to drive pretty much everywhere around there. The Inn is somewhat centrally located near to the Casino
We recently visited the Crescent Lodge for a couple of day getaway for my wife and I. Being from the metro NYC area, I realize my views are somewhat biased, but we have stayed in a number of country inn's and B&B's before. We stayed in one of the private cottages at the Crescent Inn. We booked our room through Expedia and received a discounted rate. At that price, the Crescent Inn was a decent, although not great value. The cottage itself was fairly large, with a front porch that did not really offer any privacy if the folks next door were out on theirs as well. The room was a bit dated, with a large very noisy wall mounted air conditioner and an older model box TV. The room had a small dorm sized cube refrigerator that was oddly placed in a built in cabinet under the TV. It was odd in that you could not open the fridge without almost pulling it out of the enclosure. The bathroom as a bit dated as well with only one sink and a dark bath/toilet area with linoleum tile on the floor. The grounds were neatly kept, but the pool needed a good cleaning, so we abstained from taking a swim. All in all it was a good value for the money, although it could have been better.

Very disappointed that when we arrived we were told that the restaurant was closed Monday and Tuesday. We arrived cold and hungry at about 6.00pm. No facility to make a hot drink in the room. It was very cold outside outside and snowing. Didn't want to drive to to tannerville so stayed cold thirsty and hungry. The room was over fussy for my liking and didn't go much on being told to use the back stairs when we arrived .

Like the character and location of hotel

Posted Feb 3, 2014
Pros: Character and clean
Cons: Ice machines, vending machines and soda machines on each floor so you don't have to leave the building.
Location: location was off the beaten path almost country like, . Not far from the casino and Crossings mall, candle shop, cheesecake factory and so much more.
Very nice, clean and good food. Our room must have been above the kitchen because at times it was a bit noisy with an occassional loud bang.. Other than that we were very happy.

Very Cozy Cottages and Lodge

Posted Jan 4, 2014
Pros: The lodge restaurant is surprisingly GREAT. It might not have the ambiance of a high class restaurant but its food is better than some !!!
Cons: Televisions and WiFi.
Location: Skiing at Camelbak mountain.
Me and my girlfriend stayed at a lodge with a fireplace and a Jacuzzi. The room was nicely decorated, however some of the room amenities could be updated, the alarm clock for example, it is from the 80's, the lack of internet service was somewhat discomforting. However it was also nice to be unplugged ! So I don't think these things really take away from the experience. The scenery is wonderful and the staff is very pleasant.
