Lovely hotel, lovely views!

Posted Jun 2, 2015
This is the first time me and my partner have stayed at the Cliftonville and will definitely not be out last! I did not expect it to be as great as it was due to the really good deal we got, but it was really really lovely. The entrance to the hotel is lovely and grand, with a nice little bar we sat after a long drive with views of the sea. We got seen to straight away, the staff were very helpful. Our room was great, very clean, big enough space for the two of us and the bathroom although small was nice a clean too. The restaurant was just lovely and there was so much to choose from. Overalls the stay was amazing, will definitely be going back again the next time we are in Cromer and will be bringing all my friends along too!!

Small rooms but nice sea view

Posted Sep 1, 2014 on Hotels
The single rooms are tiny! The bathrooms/shower rooms were very small also. Hotel was very dated. Could do with a refurb.

Overpriset og utdatert

Posted Jun 2, 2014 on Hotels

One night in May

Posted May 12, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, freshly decorated room and good food in the Bistro restaurant.
Cons: The weather in Cromer on the day I was there?
Location: I only stayed one night because I was visiting houses in the area and it was too far to drive home to Dorset the same day.
I arrived after a long day of driving and received a sympathetic welcome. An offer of help taking my bag to the room.

nice little getaway

Lovely stay, great atmosphere and good food. The only downside is the small double bed in the room. But would definitely stay at the cliftonville again.

Disappointed

Posted Sep 12, 2013
Pros: The Bistro restaurant was really nice and the staff were very friendly and the food was good.
Cons: New decor in the rooms, new beds...seating in main lounge area ...
Location: We didn't do anything due to bad weather and only stayed one night
Room was very disappointing, we arrived in really bad weather, the room was cold due to the very old windows that rattled all night and was draughty, the thin curtain did little to keep the cold out. Bed was very uncomfortable and lumpy. a very poor nights sleep. Peeling paint on the ceiling and very little light in the room. All rooms on a busy main road.
