"Better then some of the other reviewers experience"
Everything was great. We were busy home hunting and would come in exhausted. Except for the mild depression in the bed that had my husband and I switch sides to alleviate mild back pain, we have no complaints. The staff were friendly and while we were using the computer in the dining room, we observed several interactions with other customers who all were all treated exceptionally. All the amenities we asked for were there and allowed us to heat and eat left overs saving money and the exertion of going out again.

Myself, my 22 yr old daughter and 67 yr old mother stayed here the week of the longest yard sale. We did not have to worry about the hotel giving our room away or not having our reservation. We called a couple of times to confirm and they were extremely nice and reassured us our room was waiting for us. We did stay on the back side which backed up to woods but we had no trouble whatsoever and had a very safe secure stay for the night. The room was very, very clean thank goodness & I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Thank you for a comfortable, safe night's stay.

I have stayed in several Super 8's over the years and this one was by far the nicest and cleanest. The room had a separate seating area with a couch which was very nice. The staff were friendly and very helpful in recommending a good restaurant. It was also nice and quiet there. Excellent hotel!

My husband and I came to the hotel very late one evening. We called to say it would be late when we got in and the manager told us that was no problem. Once we arrived he helped us check in quickly in the lobby. He knew are name from my call and had all materials prepared. He was very polite and willing to help us in any way we needed. The next morning we went for breakfast and he personally asked us if we had a good night. I found it very pleasant that he was so kind. He was very attentive to the breakfast area as well as checking people out as needed. Overall he was a great manager and it really made it a great experience. The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was great. We would go here again if we ever need to stay in the area.

Lobby is beautiful. Check in took 30 minutes - new girl on desk couldn't do anything without calling someone. Had reservations for ground floor rooms - she gave us 2nd floor - fixed that and went to dinner - and she calls us back to change one of the rooms. rooms were nice, clean, very comfortable. Pool was large and clean. ice machine located centrally, along with snack and drink machines. five or six restaurants to choose from within a mile of hotel.
AND THEN THE TRAINS STARTED RUNNING. There's a train track on the other side of hte highway, and they run all through the night... I would stay here again, even with the trains.

We just needed a place to stay for the night. We were going to see a play at Cumberland County Playhouse and would get out too late to drive back so we needed a place for the night. The location was great (right beside I-40), the hotel was clean, and there was complimentary breakfast. Price was reasonable, too. (If you're in Crossville, you HAVE to go to Cumberland County Playhouse. They have amazing productions!!)

"If you need something IN Rockwood, you don't have any other choice"
This is the old Whitney Motel, a circa 1952 motel that serviced the traffic along US 27 before the interstates came. It's been through several hands in the last couple of years, and maintenance hasn't been the highest priority of any owners in the last decade. The sheets had cigarette burns and the towels were stained and not exactly white.
That being said, it was safe and very close to where I needed to be. There isn't anything else in Rockwood, and you'd have to stay at the Harriman I40 exit at twice the price. Also, no ID or credit card was requested or required with the expedia printout, just in case your interested.

Firstly, they didn't even know I had reservations when I got there and I had booked 2 rooms. After finally getting checked in went to the rooms and turned the heat on it was in the low 20's outside and snowy. After noticing the black mold on the ceiling and the tiles over the mirror in the bathroom were falling we went to the other room, there it was a little cleaner. After being there an hour the heat started blowing cold air and they offered us a space heater but sounded surprised. I got so frustrated we packed up and left in severe weather and a almost broke down car. I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN! This place was a health hazard! I wish I had thought to drag out the phone and take pictures but I didn't. :(
