“A little far away from the beach. Air conditioning not working. Maid did not come daily.”
Hotel was a little way off 7 mile beach and did not have a beach to use. It was also far away from the main highway. The air conditioning did not work well and the mgmt. never sent someone to fix it. The room, however, was spacious and comfortable and it smelled like new.
“Nice place but still under renovation”
This has the basics of a very nice resort, however, it's missing a few things. For one, there are renovations and expansions underway that give it a half-finished look. Also, the beach is fine for sunbathing but the water is not good for swimming--too rocky and rough. The room was very spacious and nicely furnished. I could easily see a family being comfortable for a week there.
“Great rooms but away from the stuff!”
Very nice rooms with full kitchens and roomy rooms! Not the best location. Away from the hustle and bustle. Nice golf course. Not much of a beach and very windy on this bay/gulf side. We rented a car for our stay so it was nice to retreat back to the hotel after running around all day on the west side/diving/sailing/seven mile beaching!!!
“iguanas paridise”
family oriented, quiet. distance from the city life. must have small kitchen, food is expansive and you must have time to eat. good place to rest, need car.
“Loved the Ramada grand Caymanian”
The Ramada Grand Caymanian is a great place to stay in Grand Cayman. Very clean, rather large rooms with beautiful views. It appeared that all the rooms have balconies with water views. Our only very small complaint is that it is not close to much of anything else on the island. There is a golf course a directly next door to the hotel. We have scuba'ed all over the world and I must say the dive company (Divers Down)that operates in the hotel is excellent, and the people who work for this dive company are top notch people, terrific divers, experienced and lots of fun. The dive company will pick you up and take you to your dives. If you want to go into town or visit the other beach areas, you will need to rent a car, take taxi.
“Quiet and peaceful”
We stayed 7 nights, the rooms need a good thorough cleaning, although I was not uncomfortable. Only a couple of screaming kids at the pool for a couple of the days then NO kids. Peaceful and relaxing. No beach to walk, it was all rocks, great location though, just a couple minute drive to 7 mile beach. Our rental car, booked with the trip was dirt cheap through expedia. This was our 5th trip to Cayman and have stayed all over the island, for peace and quiet this is the place.
“Don't stay if you like to swim in the ocean”
We are divers and the dive shop was great. But we love the water and plan our vacations around snorkleing and diving. The hotel was on the oppisite side of the island. The wind blew everyday and the waves were bad the whole time. No snorkleing or swimming. Taxi from airport was 40 bucks each way. Taxi to town was 20. and back another 20. No one told us there were buses. we found out the last day. Menu is very limited so eating there every day is boring. Food is very expensive. Hotel is beautiful. Water pressure in bathroom was bad. The bathroom had 2 great sinks but had to brush my teeth and wash my face in kitchen area. Couldn't use the Jaquzzi tub because it took an hour to fill. The people were very friendly and kind expecially the dive shop. She couldn't have been more helpfull. We had to take taxis everywhere except grocery store. They have a shuttle to take you there. We finally found a great place to swim and snorkle the last day. Sadly we were in a taxi and had no swim gear. Very dissapointed.
“"Not Impressed"”
I loved the Island!
“Nice place to stay on the North Sound”
We used the Ramada Caymanian resort as a "day stay" on Christmas day, while waiting to go to the airport. It worked out ideally for us.
“DEFINITELY will go back!”
EXCELLENT resort & service! Very clean, well-furnished! Great restaurant! Beautiful surroundings! Kind of secluded from 7 mile, very private, but still close to everything!
