Some notable issues

The stay would have rated much higher if the fitness center was better equipped and there was not a hot water problem. The dumbells in the fitness center were of much less use without even a weight bench. There were some obvious problems being experienced with the water system and a notice posted that there would be no hot water for four hours one day. Well past this point as I was preparing to leave early one morning there was no hot water at all to shower and shave. A hotel needs to have this basic resource to merit being above a flop house. It failed.

Pretty Decent Hotel

This Holiday Inn located in Crystal Lake is pretty good. Nice rooms, staff, etc. The only complaint I have is that I am not partial to the window heating and cooling units because they tend to be noisy. My business partner didn't like the pillows. He said they were too tall and gave him a stiff neck. I suggest having different height pillows since there are 4 on each bed.

Next time you find yourself paying us or any Holiday Inn a visit mention to the front desk that you'd prefer smaller/different pillows and we'd be more than happy to replace yours with a more suitable setup. I'm pleased that despite the issues with the pillows and heating unit you were still able to enjoy your stay. I of course will alert maintenance to take a look at that unit and figure out just what the problem may be. Thanks again!! Hope to see you soon.

don't waste your money

Family and friends booked 6 rooms for new year's eve party. The rooms were on the same floor but not together. Only one room had a mini fridge and microwave. The rest of the rooms were barely bigger than closets. The king bed was nice but the pull out will not sleep 2 adults comfortably. The hair dryer in my room was broken. At 10 minutes after midnight security threatened to kick every one out because he incorrectly thought he heard singing. If you want breakfast it isn't included in your $100+ bill, it's about $10 a person extra. When we left we had stacked a few taco boxes next to the only garbage can in the room because they wouldn't fit in the tiny can. We were charged a $20 clean up fee. I will NOT be staying here again.

Only drawback. I had about hotel was there wasn't a hot tub in pool area otherwise hotel was in to top shape
