Best place in CuencaPosted Dec 31, 2014
Pros: Owner, Location, Staff, and Breakfast were exceptional but after staying many other places we loved the endless "hot" water and great water pressure
Cons: Not a thing - we wished we had stayed more days! Everything was incredible. This is wonderful place and we can't wait to go back!!!
Location: It is only blocks from the main square. We walked every day and every night! Resturants, bars, Cathedrals, shopping, markets, all within blocks.
My wife and I spent a little over two weeks between Quito, Montanita and Cuenca. Casa Ordonez was absolutely amazing!! The blend of old style colonial and modern hotel was so well done! Alberto the owner quickly became a family friend. He was so helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel has been in his family for over 100 years and his pride and delight while showing us his family home was just incredible.

Very Nice Place in Great LocationPosted Aug 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
We spent five nights recently in Casa Ordonez and found the old Spanish colonial architecture of the Inn added to our experience of the historic district in Cuenca (which is basically the reason to visit Cuenca in the first place). The small staff was very professional and accommodating, and spoke English well enough to be able to understand and help us when needed. The breakfast service was amazing -- and included in the rate. The location of the hotel couldn't be beat. :)

Lovely Colonial HousePosted Aug 17, 2014
We had a most comfortable stay at Casa Ordonez. The staff are very nice and looked after us well. The house is very old and beautiful and it is well located in the centre of Cuenca.

Ecuador tripPosted May 12, 2014
While I was in Cuenca Ecuador, I left my wallet in the cab and the hotel staff was extremely helpful in calling the cab Company and helping in recovering my wallet. To my surprise everything was in my wallet including cash. The staff was extremely helpful with everything that we needed. I would definitely stay there again.

Home away from homePosted Apr 7, 2014 on Hotels.com
This hostel is located within walking distance of many attractions and restaurants. It is family owned and operated with pride and TLC. From the moment you arrive, you are treated as if you are a part of their family. The breakfast is delicious and abundant. The house is furnished appropriately for 1900's when the house was built, and they will proudly give you a tour if you ask. We will definitely stay there when we return to Cuenca.

Casa Ordonez staff are like coming home to family. We had had a very tough string of bad luck. They were there to comfort us and help us address the difficulties to needed to attend to. And on top of that a quiet oasis away from the city bustle. This hotel is centrally located and we will keep coming back.

The best of CuencaPosted Mar 24, 2014 on Hotels.com
Casa Ordonez is a superior flavor of Colonial Ecuador. As great as the location and rooms are, the staff is even better. We could not have asked for a more pleasant experience, and it rates equal to any in the world.
