“Santa Lucia full of character! Stay Here!”

My son and I had a wonderful time staying at Hotel Santa Lucia in Cuenca. The staff were very kind and helpful always opening doors and offering to carry bags. Our room was on the 3rd floor away from the patio. No beautiful view of the patio, we had a view of a parking lot, but it was consequently very quiet there for sleeping. The quality of the mattress was fantastic. Shower was the best I've had in Ecuador and I've been to the country twice. The breakfast meal was included and was very good with wonderful fresh fruit and fruit juices also scrambled eggs, bacon, bread. Only minor complaint is that public computer in lobby had terrible internet connection and was slow but usable. This fact is irrelevant in light of the beautiful antique surroundings, helpful staff, and comfortable room. Stay here if you get the chance!

“Delight in the heart of Cuenca”

This beautiful little boutique hotel in the heart of the historic district of Cuenca looks like it was converted from an old colonial home. It is within walking distance of most of the restaurants and shopping in the district and is only two blocks from Parque Calderone, the main plaza in Cuenca. Breakfast is included in the room rate and the hotel has a very good restaurant where I was served an excellent Italian Dinner by an English-speaking waiter. A computer is available on the first floor, free of charge. The room was very nice, the shower great, and the bed comfortable. What more could you want?

The Santa Lucia was absolutely lovely. Very conveniently located in a an aboslutely beautiful city. The room was large, well decorated and the bed was very comfortable. We ate at the Italian restaurant located in the courtyard twice during our stay and found the food very good. We thoroughly enjoyed out stay and would return!

“Loved Hotel Santa Lucia!”

This is a gorgeous hotel in a restored 200 year old colonial building. It is right in the heart of Cuenca and you can walk just about anywhere from the hotel. There is a covered courtyard in the center of the hotel which serves as a restaurant area in the evening. The rooms surround the courtyard and that can be a little bit noisy in the evening with dishes clanking, etc. But, it was so charming, you can't fault the design.

Very nice hotel. very good location. Good food Just one major complaint, the outside music of the restaurant was too loud and bother us every time we were inside the room. Rooms should be sealed for outside noise. Anyhow, overall nice hotel.
