“Great Colonial Hotel in the Historic Center of Cuenca”

This a beautifully remodeled and refurbished colonial home near the center of historic Cuenca. I stayed for 4 nights and was extremely pleased with the level of service and the condition of the facility. Several members of the staff went out of their way, on their own initiative not my request, to make my stay more pleasant. I will stay at this hotel again when I visit Cuenca.

“Gracious and Beautiful”

We recommend the upper floor rooms for light and privacy. They were hesitant to put us in the upper most triple with a terrific view of the cathedral because there are roosters next door but hey! This is Ecuador. We found the roosters charming. The staff was fantastic and eagerly accommodating. We loved the whole experience. A great place.

“Cuenca”

I would highly recommend Hotel De Aguila. The staff was so helpful. I traveled alone and never felt unsafe. The hotel is in a centrally located area easy to walk to the central market and a lot of the landmark locations. The Hotel is ideal for a couple or single person, may not be as suitable for a family.

We had a very quiet, wonderful stay in this little hotel. It is beautiful and the staff is very helpful and considerate. They even called (at 9:30) to remind us the first morning that breakfast was served until 10 a.m.- so we wouldn't miss it.

“Nice hotel in downtown Cuenca”

Very nice and authentic hotel... very clean and comfortable... No TV in the room or the hotel, but then again you'd have to like Spanish language channels... Location is about 2-3 blocks from the city center (cathedral); very walkable from the hotel... For the price, this was an excellent hotel choice.

“Highly Recommended”

This was the first time in Quenca for my Wife and I. We stayed at Casa Del Aguilla based on online recommendations. We couldn't be more pleased. The staff went out of their way to be accommodating. It located close to the center of the "Old Town", so everything is in easy walking distance. We only needed a taxi to and from the airport. The breakfast at the hotel was pretty simple, but we enjoyed it, and took it to our room. The ladies at the front desk recommended some great restaurants, especially Tiesto's. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again
