Poor service - outdated.Posted Mar 10, 2014
Website stated there was a fitness center - there wasn't. Laundry facility was a joke. Hotel staff was not very friendly when asked if the breakfast ever changes or if it is the same microwaved food everyday. Which they did microwave the eggs in front of us. Room was clean and I guess for the price it is worth a quick stop but not good for the week I had stayed.

Was disappointed in the breakfast. Stayed for 4 days and the staff never left us more than 2 towels and washcloths for 4 people staying...had to go to desk every day to ask for more.

Great Hotel - Easy access to I-65Posted Sep 9, 2013
Pros: Quiet, clean and updated. Great beds! Although we didn't use it, there was a really nice pool area.
Cons: Bars of soap instead of liquid from wall dispenser would have been nice.
Pleasantly pleased. We go to the gulf coast of Alabama at least once a year and Cullman, AL is approximately half way for us to drive from Lexington, KY. Normally, the off interstate motels in this price range are not the greatest. Not at the Best Western Fairwinds! Very nice and quaint; updated rooms with a nice breakfast included and QUIET. No all night traffic at your doorstep. Will definitely keep it on our repeat list for future trips. Jeanne in Lexington, KY

Love, love, loved it!Posted Jun 4, 2013
Cons: Light smell, handicap low shower
Location: Cullman, AL
Love, love, loved it! They were very nice and were very attentive to your needs. Extra towels, no problem. My grandchildren loved the pool it was well kept. Everything around the check in and breakfast area was very clean and in order. I sat a while in the breakfast room just casual and observed, they were constantly on top of everything. The room had a small musty smell but I am probably the only one who could tell. I was in handicap, a bit disappointing they didn't have a walk in shower fortunately my legs weren't acting up. Overall they made it easy in and easy out. However, if you use the computer in the check in make sure you delete your cookies and cache. The kind man didn't understand what I was saying so make sure you delete! If I had to come, back I would.

a great place to stay!Posted May 31, 2012
Pros: great a/c unit
Cons: no free beer
Location: good location several eating establishments nearby
we have been traveling the U.S in a small car so we have been staying in quite a few motels across the country. The staff were superb in setting us up and the room was spacious and well kept. For the money it was the best place we stayed. We would reccomend this motel to anyone who isn't expecting a 4 star motel for a 1 star price tag. very pleasently surprised by the quality

No smoking roomPosted May 22, 2012
Make sure that you don't get a smoking room. I booked a non smoking room but was placed in a smoking room. We were not allowed to switch because they were completely booked that night. The room was so thick in smoke smell that it made us gag.

Two problems with our stayPosted Apr 20, 2012
We have stayed here in the past. this trip the room was very clean. There had been upgrades in the tile and bathroom. It was a good experience overall. There were two negatives. One very minor, the coffee cups in the room leaked through. One leaked when I filled it with coffee so I poured the coffee into a second cup. It leaked also. Again, minor. The second was the breakfast. The food was not good at all. The eggs were tasted like powdered eggs. the biscuits were very hard and the waffle batter has a sour taste. The food was a bad experience and I don't know if I would stay there again.

NOT WHAT WE EXPECTEDPosted Feb 24, 2012
Pros: We were given a good nightly rate.
Cons: There was a lot of outside traffic noise. Also, the room/hotel did not feel as secure as I imagined.
Location: Close to highway and truck stops.
We moved after the first night because of plumbing issues with the toilet, something housekeeping should have flagged to maintenance before putting guests in that room. It took one full minute, holding down the handle, to flush the toilet.
