rooms are average - non-smoking room smelt like smoke - as a result all your clothes will smell like smoke too FYI

Father/daughter getaway with rental car. Location was close and easily accessible to airport, Venice and Santa Monica beaches and an easy drive to Hollywood. Nothing fancy, but reasonably clean, safe and affordable.

Nothing fancy, no pool, pretty basic breakfast, on the noisy side but felt safe, reasonably comfortable and a short drive from Venice and Santa Monica beaches and a pretty short drive to Hollywood. I'd stay here again. What you'd expect for the price.

Guess it depends on the room you get.

There was a dried splashed liquid on the wall by the sink - kinda looked like a body fluid. Bed was made and new towels given but that's about it. It was apparent that the room wasn't vacuumed after I checked in - I had dropped some powder on the floor the first day and it was there for my entire stay. Maybe the vacuum is weak. On a positive note - bed was very comfortable. And they did change the sheets when asked. I stayed 3 nights.

Convenient comfy stay

The room was upgraded to a remodeled room. The only thing - it needed a new shower curtain. It was torn in a few places. Told the staff especially since it's an upgraded renovated room already.

Nice hotel conveniently located to LAX

Posted Jun 13, 2014
Pros: Location, nice accomodations and reasonable price.
Cons: Curb appeal of hotel building. Could look a bit nicer.
Location: Great location for LAX, even convenient to downtown LA and Santa Monica via 10 fwy. Short drive to Expo Line stations in Culver City.
I had a workshop to attend in the area. This hotel was at least $100 less per night than surrounding hotels in the area of the workshop. Since I live in the SF Valley, I didn't want to hassle morning traffic and decided to stay here. Good decision. Nine hotel. The room was more than adequate, relatively quiet on the second floor and well appointed and clean. In unit small refrigerator and microwave oven. Continental breakfast available too. What more can you ask for?

Price is right

Room was clean; in need of some renovations, but clean. The outside was also clean and quiet. The staff could be a little more quiet while attending their housekeeping visits, other than that they were all friendly and attentive.

Nice hotel in a central location

Posted Jun 7, 2014
We spent two nights in this hotel. The first day we drove to Santa Monica Pier and spent the day there. Parking all around the pier is expensive but it was worth the experience. We found a map of the red and yellow bus route and followed it through LA and Hollywood. It wasn't narrated but we saw lots of things. Then it was just a 15-20 minute drive from downtown back to the hotel. The next day we drove down to Long Beach for the day. It was maybe a 20-30 minute drive that direction. We were there over the weekend so the traffic wasn't horrible. The beds at the hotel had pillow top mattresses which helped with my back issues but after two nights on them I was starting to hurt. The breakfast was average--bagels, toast, muffins, dry cereal, juice, and a little bit of fruit. The front desk staff was friendly. The room was clean but not pristine. I would probably stay there again because the location was close to lots of things. Things to make sure to do while in LA if you aren't from California - go to an In and Out Burger - go to the Santa Monica Pier - go to Long Beach and take a cruise on the bay and check out the Yard House for a place to eat - if you are there on a Sunday then check out some local open houses to see how the rich people live - if you want to go to Griffith Observatory then go first thing before they open to get a parking spot. Otherwise plan to hike a ways to get there.
