Charming and fun little get awayPosted Jun 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
Just what I wanted it to be. Going back to my home town and staying in the town's historic hotel right in the middle of foodie heaven

Jackhammering in the nightPosted May 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
Loved the hotel. Gracious, charming, elegant and whimsical. However, late night road construction a few blocks away was audible through the night and resulted in tired mornings. Not great. Nearby restaurants were wonderful and the staff were warm and calmly professional. I will definitely go back, but only after the road work is completed.

Great hotel with outstanding staff.Posted Apr 22, 2013
Great old hotel. The staff was outstanding. Incredibly friendly and service oriented. The hotel is close to a number of fine restaurants. Though built in 1924, it appears to have recently been remodeled and updated. All done without losing it's charm.

Comfortable hotel in good locationPosted Apr 4, 2013
Pros: Didn't feel like a chain hotel - the decor was tasteful and bespoke.
Cons: Hotel's lift shaft was next to our room, so there was a little bit of noise from that during the night.
Location: Culver City seemed like a nice upmarket area, plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance.
Stayed here one night before flying out from LAX (15 minute drive away) and found it to be a really comfortable hotel in a good neighbourhood with plenty of bars and restaurants close by. The hotel's own bar was excellent too and good value during the happy hour.

Great hotel for couplesPosted Feb 18, 2013
Pros: Lovely Boutique Hotel, close to great restaurants and close to our son's home.
Location: Lovely downtown Culver City location.
Very comfortable lounge area. The evening entertainment was excellent and the Continental Breakfast was varied and delicious. It has been our Valentine's Week-end destination for the past two years.

Needs a little work...Posted Feb 13, 2013 on Hotels.com
I was at the Culver for a seminar just up the street, and the location/convenience of getting around can not be beat. Having said that, this did not really seem to be a boutique hotel anymore. The interior looks tired--dinged walls, dinged doorways, elevator broken, etc. I was unable to get the front desk or room service to answer the phone on a Friday night, when the food came there was no napkin or silverware (but I didn't call because I couldn't get a response), etc. The room was very small as noted on the other reviews, but totally functional. Having said that, this was a significant expense for a location that has management/maintenance issues.
