“too pricey for the quality”

The desk clerk was very short with us when we arrived. I could understand it if there was a crowd but he said he'll be with us in a minute in a rough tone. The carpet going up the steps was pulled up and could cause injury. Directly out front 2 people were smoking providing a smokey environment to a non-smoking hotel. Not the worst but it certainly was not the best and way too pricey for the conditions.

“Nothing special”

Reserved for one night over Autumn Glory weekend at Deep Creek; most places in the area require more than a 1 night stay, so choices are limited in this area. It is close to the north end of the lake and WISP. We reserved a non-smoking room but at check-in, only smoking rooms were available, so we had no choice but to accept it (why hotels even have smoking rooms at all makes no sense to me). Room wasn't too smoky after we opened the window and left the fan on high. But that whole wing smelled of stale smoke. Hotel in general was a bit run down although the room was nice enough for this class of hotel. Sheets and towels and bathroom were clean. Continental breakfast was nothing special, no pastries or anything like that.

“Better than expected”

My wife and I had a very good experience at this motel. When we checked in, the desk clerk upgraded us, without our asking, to a very nice room on the first floor - since we were older and there was not an elevator. We found the breakfast to be very adequate, with a number of choices.

“Would recommend to all.”

The room was very large and very clean. The staff at the hotel was very concerned about our comfort and satisfaction. I will definitely stay there again.

“Comfortable rooms”

We were in town for a triathlon and had to get up at 5:30 am the next day. Initially we could hear small kids in the room above us through the floor when we went to bed (it was only 9:30 pm). Just turned on the heater fan & that masked the noise which stopped not long afterwards. Very comfortable dual queen beds, free breakfast buffet opened early because there were so many athletes staying there. I'd definitely stay again.

“Not too bad”

I recently stayed at the Comfort Inn over labor day weekend. I got to be honest, yes the hotel is pretty old and it could use a fixing up but, the hotel staff more then made up for it. The housekeepers were great and VERY friendly. Everyone was very accommodating and willing to help out whenever you needed something. Also the breakfast in the morning was much more then we expected. I figured it would be nothing more then juice, coffee and donuts but they had quite a selection. The woman running it was amazing as well. She was not only making breakfast for everyone but she was also running back upstairs and doing the hotel laundry. Overall the hotel was a nice place. If you expecting the Ritz you might want to go elsewhere but If your just looking for a place where staff treats you like your family, this is your place.

“A dscent place to stay”

For one night, this was a decent place to stay, although there are no elevators and there are some flaws that need to be fixed. My son enjoyed the pool, the room we rented was nice and big, the hotel was close to lots of fun things to do at Deep Creek Lake, and was a reasonable price through Expedia.

“Not very nice”

I was a little disappointed to find my non-smoking room turned into a smoking room and there was nothing else available. I took it anyway because I had no choice. That was enough to make me decide never to stay there again. The other issue was with the continental breakfast. There wasnt much variety and again, it was a disappointment. The hotel is older and needs some updating; older carpets and wallpaper. I know Deep Creek Lake very well; enough to know the owners of this hotel can certainly afford to upgrade some things based on their level of business.
