Ok for a quick night

Posted Aug 24, 2014
The pros are the location, price we paid (around $68 with taxes), and the quick check-in and check-out. But there were some cons. The lobby smelled strongly of smoke. The room was lacking in cleanliness. The bedspread had a cigarette burn and a couple other mystery stains that really grossed us out. Also the bed only had a sheet and the thin spread, no blanket and two of the smallest pillows I've ever seen. The sink is out in the room right in front of the door, so if you are using it, the door can't be opened. One roll of toilet paper looked like it had been dropped in water (hopefully not the toilet). Although I do not hold this again the hotel itself, going up the interior carpeted stairs someone had spit several times, but It looked fresh so the staff probably hadn't had a chance to clean yet. If you need a cheap place to sleep only, then this place is ok. I wouldn't stay for more than a night.

Won't do that again.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: The whole motel.
Location: The location was fine.
This is not a 2 star motel. After being issued our room we walk in and find out it is a smoking room. We asked to be moved to a different room and when we walked into that one the musty smell was nearly as bad as the smoke smell in the first one. The breakfast wasn't worth the walk, in fact, after checking things out we turned around and walked out with anything. This place needs to be updated big-time.

Beds were like sleeping on cardboard boxes! Would have had a more comfortable sleep in my car! Tv was so small couldn't even see it comfortable from horrible bed! Not worth $1 a night! Horrible night and will never stay at this establishment ever!

Okay hotel, close to a Mall, quiet.

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: It was close to the local Mall. It had a microwave and small refrigerator.
Cons: Scrub the carpets often. The breakfast they offered was not very much.
Location: Historical homes in the area, the steam train ride through the mountains. The Coney Island hot dogs are great.
Was disappointed to find the sink next to the door. The bathtub was in good condition but no toilet lid. The bed spread had a hole in it. The pillows were flat. There were stains on the carpet in the room and the hallway. We asked the hotel maid to vacuum and it did not look like it was touched. There were crumbs in the corner, still there are she vacuumed. We did not expect much from the price but it should be clean.

Front desk staff was somewhat indifferent. Room was OK, but wouldn't return.

Pros: Convenience on and off 68
Cons: Correct what I wrote about in my experience section.
Location: Had an agenda Didnt have a chance to look around area
Lobby smelled like smoke. Access keys would not work Got new ones. They would not work either. Assistants very slow to help. Not impressed with free breakfast. Would have liked a coffee pot in room. Hand towel was used for bath pat. Soap was two little tiny cubes. Paid for what I got. :(

It was OK.... The hotel could use a face lift. wasn't dirty in the room but wasn't clean in the halls and stairways. Outside needed a fresh coat of paint. Staff were okay. Breakfast was okay. Everything was okay. Cheap rate !!! So for the price it was okay....

met our needs for an inexpensive stay after races

Posted Jun 9, 2014
Pros: Location, Applebees across the street. Lots of eateries in the area. Was able to book through Expedia's website.
Cons: Put ice machine on 3rd floor. Inconvenient to go to 2nd floor for ice. Continental breakfast on weekend should be better.
Location: Location was appropriate for what we were doing.
We were looking for an inexpensive place to crash after the races. Room was fine. Everything worked and it was clean. Wasn't much to the continental breakfast. Guessing we were too late, even though we were there an hour before it was over. Got our coffee there since no coffee pot in room. Didn't try the wi-fi, not sure if it worked.

When you need a quickie get-a-way, good place.

Staff made the extra effort to make sure I was happy and was very pleasant. It's not a fancy place, and even shows some age but it was perfect for what we needed. We will be back.
