“Awesome hotel in Cumberland”

We loved everything about this place. It's fairly new and is well appointed. Great breakfast too.

“Lovely Hotel”

The hotel was wonderful. Looks new. Breakfast was quite a variety, something for everyone. The only downfall I found were the bathroom towels. I think they bought them in the bargin bin. So thin and flimsy. If the towels had been nicer, everything would have been perfect.

Area recommendations

Cumberland has a Baltimroe Street area, closed to traffic. Lots of shops, food, entertainment. Also the Canal Street Area has shops and food. Western Maryland Scenic Railroad is right there, and worth the ride.

Getting there

From East or West Interstate 68 runs right through the middle of Cumberland, MD.

Getting around

We could walk around Cumberland from our hotel. Was not concerned with walking after dark.

Must see

Western Maryland Scenic Railroad Trip is a must.

“Good room, uncomfortable furniture”

Good room, excellent breakfast, but the two chairs were very uncomfortable, the lighting was spare and the A/C was very noisy

“Can't wait to go back”

We are going to cumberland maryland next year for the train excursion, fall folliage and dining. We enjoy our stay at Fairfiled Inn and can't wait to go back.

Area recommendations

cumberland-frostburg...the maryland scenic train ride is so exciting with wonderful view of the fall folliage. with-in an hour trip to west go to laurel highland in pensylvania and visit the ohiopike mountain where you can visit the falling water house design by the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright.

Last 2 weeks of October fall folliage.

Getting there

From 70 or Hancock Maryland take route 68 and 40 towards Cumberland Maryland - drive in the morning when the sky is blue expectacular view of the montains

The location was conveinient for this little town. The breakfast was really good with a lot of options. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean.
