“Quality accommodation in Lancaster at reasonable price.”

The Hotel is spacious, rooms are big and comfortable, have a great view and the service is good. Indoor pool is a real plus in the cold climate. And a gym for the health freaks. Breakfast is okay. I did not have anything to complain about.

“Fantastic Value for Money”

Having stayed at another hotel the week before, for exactly the same price, I have to say that the Holiday Inn really impressed. It has a relaxed feel about it yet the staff were helpful, the hotel was clean and the room was a good size with plenty of creature comforts on tap. The only criticisms are that the room's lights had odd switching states (all or nothing), and there were a bunch of untidy cables under the TV/Internet point which might be a concern. Otherwise the hotel was very child friendly especially the pool. Speedos not required! Breakfast was also good. The hotel is easy to find and only a couple of minutes from the M6. They had even opened up the sofa bed and made it up for my little girl to sleep on!

“Good quality, loation and price”

Excellent value for money, consistent quality from Holiday Inn and great location. Close to Lancaster but not in the city, easy access to the M6 (major route). Short trip to the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. Great gym and indoor pool.

One of the best hotels we have stayed in with high stars that accomodate dogs. Never knew holiday Inn took pets on and that too at no extra cost. Fantastic hotel with great facilities and very convienient for all. We booked double room which was huge for us (2 adults) and 2 labradoures. Room was well located away from noise and sounds for our dogs benefit and for other guests in the hotel a sign of a dog hung over our doot handle, saying dog staying in room. Room was big enough for all and very comfortable. Staff were very helpful and did not freak out at the sign of a dog in the room.

Apart from one misunderstanding our stay was spot on. The hotel whilst being out of town is set in its own grounds with plenty of walks available including a riverside path which extends for many a mile.

Good position on way to Scotland and the hotel was the standard you expect from this chain. Receptionist was very helpful

“nice for short stay”

Very nice welcome on Xmas day - a handwritten card and complimentary mini-hamper. Restaurant menu not very impressive in terms of variety though especially for vegetarian though bar offers some additional choice. But food served in ample amount. pre-ordering breakfast feels quite fussy though the choice of food looks rather good. we've missed having fridge/minibar in the room and there was only one wall-pug availble. what I've missed was wi-fi internet, the iBan device was good although it felt quite pricy.(am spoiled by American complimentary wi-fi I guess :) ) hotel interior outside of rooms gives a feeling of need for refreshing. but overall impression was positive and pleasant enough to consider this and other hotels of this chain for future stays.

“Nice Pool, Poor Service”

We stayed for 2 nights. We have 2 children. The pool was heated and extremely kid friendly. They charged us even though we had prepaid with expedia. The kitchen staff was not enough so dinner took hours to complete with many times asking for help and having to wait.

This hotel was great. The staff was very friendly. Nothing to do within walking distance but it made a great stopping point for our trip around England.

“Holiday Inn Lancaster”

A clean pleasant hotel. We ate in on our first evening. The service was excellent but the food poor. Not value for money. We ate out thereafter.
