Good basic hotel for overnight stay

Cons: Two people on front desk and free wi-fi
Location: White Scar Caves a 20 minute drive from the hotel were absolutely amazing, ten mins up the road from that was a large aquadome well worth a look.
Nice big room with comfortable bed, pillows were very flat though and no spares. Check in and out were slow as only one person on the front desk. It was nice and quiet location and a five minute drive to the town centre. Good breakfast. Biggest disappointment was wi-if if you wanted it was a charge of £16 for 24 hours!

Nice hotel,half an hour's drive from Lake District

Pros: Nice location, Just off M6 and close to Lake District
Location: Lake District. 2miles drive to Lancaster town centre
Very nice comfortable hotel. Families friendly. The room was very spacious and we were happy to find the cot-bed in the room that we had requested online while booking. We stay there for the weekend and travelled to Lake District on both days. Really had great time. Would stay there again.

Lovely spacious room overlooking the River Lune

Pros: Very spacious and comfortable room with fantastic bed.
Cons: PLEASE provide free wifi! Incomprehensible that Holiday Inn does not provide free wifi for clients. Having a coffee machine for breakfast use.
Another comfortable, quiet and enjoyable stay at our most-often used hotel in Lancaster

Hotel with pool and gym facilities

Pros: We liked pool area and Jacuzzi.
Cons: The food is very expensive and not very good quality for money
Location: The location was ok had to drive to most places visited lake Windermere and motor museum in south lakes very interesting
For price you pay surprises you don't get free WiFi. We had food first night we arrived just big pizza for us and a child pizza. Child pizza was rock hard and the barman brought my child ice cream. This put my child of this hotel and he wanted to go home which really spoilt our couple days away. My child wrote a letter complaining to manager but got no feedback prob didn't take it serious because it was from a child but they are the future and he said he will never stay in their hotels again.

Good location. Surprisingly quiet next to motorway

Cons: Beds & Pillows
Location: Near to motorway which gives easy access to Lakes, Yorkshire Dales and Blackpool
Beds not very comfortable. Pillows terrible. Room clean and quiet. Conveninet location for Lakes, Yorkshire Dales, Blackpool. Breakfast good. Nice health suite

Brilliant Hotel over New Years Eve

Pros: Food, price , facility's not anything to dislike
Cons: If anything breakfast was a bit chaotic but this could have been the time we were there over New. Year as the Hotel was full but nothing to complain
Location: Nice walk along the river into Lancaster easy reach into Kendal and Windermere. Ball park facing the hotel for small children
We were given a free upgrade to an Executive suite which started our break off wonderfully. We Stayed over New Years Eve which was brilliant very family orientated . Food was lovely and not over priced room was lovely staff very friendly. I highly recommend this Hotel

Unfriendly staff

Staff should be more attentive to the customer requests. We felt as we were bothering the reception staff when asked questions. A training in customer service might be a good idea for 2015. Apart from that the breakfast is enjoyable but a coffee machine with good quality coffee might be an investment in the future. The swimming pool, sauna and steam room are a good feature. Negative note is 1 pound coin is needed to use the locker.
