Efficient hotel for one night stay.

Pros: Cleanliness and the quality of evening meal.
Cons: Cost of breakfast and discover night noise!
Location: Lancaster very historic. Castle/ shopping etc
Enjoyed the one night. Receptionist not too welcoming. A smile does not cost anything! The room was lovely and clean and we chose to eat in the restaurant. It was wonderful but the staff lacked a leader and we waited 40 minutes for our chosen desert. I felt sorry particularly for one girl who apologised for the wait. We had rather a disturbed sleep as there was a continuous tick/ dripping noise. Did not stay for breakfast. Too expensive!

Nice hotel but a bit out of the way

Pros: Very clean, good facilities and excellent staff
Location: Lancaster is a lovely city but a good 30 min walk. Couldn't drive in as roads gridloicks
Nice hotel and staff friendly and helpful. We'd booked a family room but sofa bed not made up and not enough towels. That said - as soon as we asked they were provided. Thought the hotel was a bit more central and traffic was horrendous due to an accident on the M6

Great staff, clean rooms, pricey breakfast

Pros: Treated very well by staff. Sizeable room and good WiFi.
Cons: Reduction in price of breakfast - it could be very expensive for a family and the quality is only average.
Location: Lancaster town centre was worth a look, especially the Maritime Museum. Further out of town is Sunderland Point with maritime history via a causeway
The staff are great and very attentive. Room was spacious, very clean and well laid out. Breakfast is very expensive for the quality if you don't have a voucher. Dinner was OK although the vegetables my wife had were very oily and she couldn't eat them.

Splendid place for a two night visit to Lancaster.

Pros: Staff and convenience.
Cons: I see no way of improving for the price!
Location: Ease of finding and access to local area are outstanding. Went to visit a grand daughter at University and had a splendid time.
Drove to Lancaster from Scotland. Hotel easy to find, Easy to park, speedy check in. Excellent room, well designed bath room, comfortable all around. Good breakfast, very helpful staff. Easy check out. Left early on 2nd morning to drive home to Dorset. Excellent breakfast was provided half an hour before the restaurant was due to open, organised by the two very competent and helpful staff at reception, I suspect they were the duty receptionist and duty manager.

Cons: Free wifi
Good central location to visit all, the only niggle is in theese day and times free internet for guests and visiters should bd a must, especially at the prises of the food there.

Double Booked

On arriving at the hotel at 10.30 pm ready to check in we were informed that we did not have a room as the hotel was overbooked. We had made the booking a week in advance, hence there was ample time to relay this information to us, apparently they had been " trying to contact my mobile" that day though the receptionist did admit she thought there was a digit missing in the number. We were advise that alternative accommodation had been arranged in a hotel in the centre of town. This turned out to be a poorer quality of accommodation than the usual Holiday Inn standard and was also a lot noisier being in the centre of a town. These were the very reasons why we did not choose town centre accommodation when booking. We were provided with a token refund, which on further investigation did not fully meet the difference if we had booked direct with this hotel. All in all a disappointing experience in dealing with Expedia and Holiday Inn. I was under the impression that once funds are taken from a credit card your accommodation was reserved, but obviously not in this case.

good clean hotel with friendly staff

Location: it is close to morecambe which is very handy.
it is the second time we have stayed at the holiday inn and we find it clean the staff are friendly and the facilities are very good. will use it again definately.

This was a very nice stay where the staff were very helpful and friendly and the room very comfy. The food in the restaurant was superb but I cannot comment on breakfast as i didn't have time to have any. Only down side was I had to pay for internet but overall would stay here again.

Good value for money. Convenient location for coast and countryside. Great walking. Good breakfast included good gym.No free Wii fi a negative.
