Convenient hotel but aged

Pros: very near to motorway and the city. Restaurant, bar and cleaning staff are very good. They go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. They hav
Cons: hotel decor. Room interior are basic, at par with budget hotel like holiday inn express. No fridge in the room, no moisturiser and no free wifi.
Location: Next t motorway, but no noise in the room. Visit lake district or nearby Aston memorial park. Lancaster castle and city are also worth visiting
Good: very near to motorway and the city. Restaurant, bar and cleaning staff are very good. They go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. They have smile and spring in their steps. Needs improvement: hotel decor. Room interior are basic, at par with budget hotel like holiday inn express. No fridge in the room, no moisturiser in the bathroom. No free wifi (hello, world has moved on, wifi is as essential as a clean toilet). Poor: Reception staff, no smile on the face, uninformed, one of them was bordering on to rude. They need training in customer service. Modern UK has visitors in all shapes, size and colour, Lancaster may have predominantly caucasian population but visitors are not.

The room was a good size and the bathroom was also good but both were dated and showing signs of the need for redecoration. Breakfast was not the best with tinned fruit lack of condiments etc, though tasted nice

Good basic hotel for overnight stay

Cons: Two people on front desk and free wi-fi
Location: White Scar Caves a 20 minute drive from the hotel were absolutely amazing, ten mins up the road from that was a large aquadome well worth a look.
Nice big room with comfortable bed, pillows were very flat though and no spares. Check in and out were slow as only one person on the front desk. It was nice and quiet location and a five minute drive to the town centre. Good breakfast. Biggest disappointment was wi-if if you wanted it was a charge of £16 for 24 hours!

Nice hotel,half an hour's drive from Lake District

Pros: Nice location, Just off M6 and close to Lake District
Location: Lake District. 2miles drive to Lancaster town centre
Very nice comfortable hotel. Families friendly. The room was very spacious and we were happy to find the cot-bed in the room that we had requested online while booking. We stay there for the weekend and travelled to Lake District on both days. Really had great time. Would stay there again.

Lovely spacious room overlooking the River Lune

Pros: Very spacious and comfortable room with fantastic bed.
Cons: PLEASE provide free wifi! Incomprehensible that Holiday Inn does not provide free wifi for clients. Having a coffee machine for breakfast use.
Another comfortable, quiet and enjoyable stay at our most-often used hotel in Lancaster

A hastle at reception

Both times I've stayed after using Hotels.com I've been put in single beds and it has been highlighted to me that doubles are only guaranteed if I use them direct. I dont know if it is company policy. They tried to refuse to change the address from Hotels.com's address to my company address because I was not paying them direct. To get my meal receipt changed to my company address took a discussion and I had to point out that I ate in the restaurant and paid them, so I had to insist I got a receipt in my own name. The hotel is very handy for the motorway and is very clean. However, I cant be bothered with the hastle every time I stay so will use another hotel 20 mins down the motorway next time. Summary is, nice hotel let down by the computer says no attitude
