“I want to move in”

We stayed here for two nights in May 2009. It was just incredible. The hotel is a 100 year old Edwardian country house, and it has been updated without being cheapened at all. The hotel and gardens are beautiful, and the service is sublime. And the food--incredible! It's comfortable and sophisticated without being stuffy. I really felt as if I was visiting a great friends whose only goal in life was to make me as happy as possible.

We stayed at Linthwaite House Hotel for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. From arrival we were made to feel welcome with a brief tour of the hotel before being shown up to our room, which had a large comfortable bed, large TV, DVD player and stereo. The room was lovely, but the food is the main draw... Sitting in the lounge, we perused the menu whilst eating canapés. We relaxed here whilst waiting for our order to be prepared before being shown through to the restaurant where we were given an appetiser before starter, main and desert. The food really is exquisite. The rates are expensive but if you fancy a treat in a lovely hotel set in well kept grounds with an excellent restaurant then Linthwaite is highly recommended.

“Lakes with a view”

Spent 2 nights at Linthwaite over Valentines weekend. The welcome was plesant and profesional and we were in our room within 5 minutes. The hotel and grounds are well kept and modern whilst still keeping a lot of original features. The service for dinner was exceptional, with entrees served in the lounge when we came down for dinner, allowing us to select from the menu at our leisure, before being invited through for dinner when our meal was ready. The food was excelent, and left the table very happy both evenings. I would go back again, but only for a special occasion as it is expensive.

Lovely hotel, friendly staff, comfy rooms, fab brekky and great location. Would go back again!

“Wished we stayed longer.”

We stayed just 1 night at this hotel. We wished we stayed longer. The place has superb view. It's just 15min downhill walk into town, will take about 20min walking back uphill. Their service is excellent. Everyone is helpful and accommodating. They have a first class restaurant which did a superb job in adjusting their menu to my food restrictions. I would go back here any time I could.

Wonderful hotel in a stunning location. The food and the service were excellent. I cannot find fault with anything in this hotel even the weather was brilliant when we were there in March. We stayed in a preferred double and the decor in the room was bright and modern and the bathroom was tiled in a very high standard. Great place and we will definitley return. Would recommend this hotel as one of the best we have ever stayed in.
