Stayed 1 night. Owner very friendly & helpful, Location just out of the centre of town but plenty amenities close around. Good breakfast. Had no problems whatsoever.

Lovely place and host.

Posted May 30, 2015
Pros: The Comfort and amenities were fabulous.
Cons: While our SatNav got us there, it was a little difficult to see the address and hotel signage from the road, especially in the dark.
Location: We only stayed the night so it is not fair to try and comment on this.
We arrived late on the wrong night but luckily our host was still able to put us up for the night. We enjoyed chatting with our host, he was very informative about the area. The beds were very comfortable, breakfast quite tasty and good coffee a big plus.

Short stay in this very comfortable Guest House

Posted Apr 24, 2015
Pros: Comfortable and spacious room. Good breakfast.
Cons: Ventilation in room could be improved.
Location: Fairly close to city centre passing two parks on the way by the River Eden. Interesting compact historic city with good rail links.
I spent two nights at this Guest House on the outskirts of Carlisle. Fairly close to the centre of the city and on several frequent Bus routes or a 15 minute walk. Roy - the Proprietor, is extremely friendly and knowledgeable and the full English breakfast was one of the highlights. Local information leaflets in the bedroom were very helpful and more available in the entrance. Would thoroughly recommend a stay at the Guest House.

Great B&B in Carlisle

Posted Apr 6, 2015
Location: Carlisle castle and Hadrian's wall are near by.
We really enjoyed our stay at this B&B. The owner was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area. His scrambled eggs were magnificent. Rooms were comfortable and clean.

Best brekkie ever

Posted Apr 1, 2015 on Hotels
wonderful room on first floor - probably the most comfortable bed ive ever had in a B&B - fell asleep instantly. Although it was on the first floor it wasn't noisy from traffic at all. Host very knowledgable about the local history - we had a great chat over what was arguably the best brekkie Ive ever had in a B&B - the cumberland sausage alone took up the whole plate! Locally sourced fare makes all the difference. Close to amenities and city life.

Friendly and well priced

Really friendly host, told me the best places to go in the local area and gave directions the next day. Great breakfast and arrived perfectly at my requested time. Only downside was that the internet really wasn't strong enough to work with.

Fantastic

Friendly, very accommodating management. My son and I stopped over two nights on a Hadrian's Wall walk. My son had injured his foot and Roy went out of his way to help. Food was terrific, room clean and comfortable. Local restaurant recommendation outstanding. We'd return in a minute.
