Most studios do not have a lake view

Posted Aug 9, 2014
Pros: Clean. Very comfortable
Cons: Early check in 4pm is the standard time and you have to be out by 10am. Not leaving a great deal of time to utilise the room/ facilities
Location: Need a car. Can drive to the lakes in abt 30 mins .
One night stay served it purpose . Albeit I did request where possible a lake view and early check in . Sadly neither could be serviced. The studio was well presented and so comfortable. 1st time in studio always had a lodge but they were fully booked . Still enjoyed my stay . Cannot wait to return

Fantastic Resort on Pine Lake - very close to Lake

Posted Aug 2, 2014
Pros: The Lake
Cons: Choice of meals in bar and restaurant
Location: Short drive to The Lakes. Carnforth (a couple of miles away has Booths (a waitrose type of supermarket) with excellent choice of fresh food etc
Plenty of Lake activities and leisure facilities on site. Clean, friendly and close to local village restaurants. Highly recommend for family stay or if you just want to get away for a quiet time and relax

Poor that you have to pay extra to use the pool

Posted Jul 14, 2014
It is a lovely spot but there is not heaps to do on site . You have to pay £10 per day to use the pool and pay for towels which I think is criminal when you have already paid a lot for the lodge. Also check in at 4 pm and out at 10 am does not make much of a stay if you are only there 1 night. That said the staff were excellent and we were able to check in earlier.

Thank you for your review of your stay at Pine Lake. We are sorry to read of your dissatisfaction with the charge for leisure centre access: at present, the resort’s committee has decided not to incorporate this cost into our pricing plan, as this would charge guests for using the leisure centre regardless of whether or not they chose to do so. The check-in and check-out times are standard across all our resorts, to ensure that our housekeeping team are able to thoroughly clean the accommodation between guests, although we will make every effort to arrange for an early check-in or late check-out if these are requested. We sincerely hope that these issues didn’t mar an otherwise enjoyable stay here, and that you’ll choose to return to Pine Lake in the future – we’d love to see you again! Very comfortable overnight stay.

Posted Jul 11, 2014
Pros: Very nice Large room with kitchen facilities. Comfortable bed. Spotlessly clean. Pleasant location. Can not fault the accomodation.
Cons: Earlier breakfast times.
Location: Nice location on a lake. Convenient for The Lakes (north) and the Trough of Bowland (south-east).
Excellent in all respects except one. We could not get breakfast before 9:30. This is not convenient when you want to get away early.

Fantastic resort

Posted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: Delighted with our stay a perfect short break destination just two minutes from the M6
Cons: The only way to improve would be to refresh some decor and add free wifi
Location: Excellent location though some noise from the road at night, shops and supermarkets in carnforth and Lancaster not to far away
Checked in for two nights and had a fantastic time, the lodge was right at the lakeside next to the water sports and had everything we needed including all the kitchen equipment you'd have at home even a dishwasher, the lodge was spotless and had it not been booked solid for the following two nights we'd still be there, the staff were all very friendly from reception to housekeeping, the icing on the cake was the spa and pool, though they charge £10 a day for the privilege it was ideal, kids pool adult pool jacuzzi steam room and sauna bliss.we did also try the bar and had some food the homemade soup and pizza was very good, will defiantly be back next year.

A nice overnight stopover.

Posted Jun 28, 2014
Pros: The lakeside setting, and abundance of ducks/swans etc was beautiful.
Cons: Remove the additonal charges to use the leisure facilities, this should be included in room price.
We stayed only one night to break up a long journey. The club studio suite had everything we needed and was in a quiet peaceful location despite the motorway close by. The parking spaces are allocated and unfortunately our neighbour had parked over the white line, we squeezed into our allotted parking space to check out the room and came out minutes later to discover a dent in our car door from the people carrier that had been parked next to it - it wasn't a great start and put a damper on the rest of the day, needless to say we parked elsewhere after that and walked to the room - beware the narrow parking spaces. The rooms were quiet although you can hear neighbours switching on sockets etc but we had a good and comfortable nights sleep. The leisure centre is well set out and had plenty of room although the new additional fees for it's use would put me off bothering in future just for a quick swim. There were lots of families in the bar/restaurant in the evening but it was't too noisy although I imagine it could get very busy at high season. The food prices were reasonable and food was good tasty.

Thank you for your review of your stay at Pine Lake. We are sincerely sorry to read of the issues you encountered with the parking space assigned to your studio: we would encourage guests to let us know if they have any concerns about the parking arrangements, as we would have been more than happy to address this with the guests who had parked in the adjoining space. We regret that this incident marred your stay here, although we’re pleased that you found the accommodation comfortable, and we hope that you’ll choose to come back here in the future! Perfect break

Posted Jun 28, 2014
Pros: The food.
Cons: Everything was perfect.
Location: If you like the sea Morcombe is about 15mins away if you like walking the Lake District is nearly on the doorstep.
The studion flats are well appointed and very clean, it's a great location and you get great views of the lake. The staff are perfect and always ready with a smile and are very helpful.
