Super friendly and quick check in. Prompt room change when the room key wasn't working. Excellent spa facilities - notably the thermal pool. Good range of breakfast options (the pancakes from the kitchen order options were fab). Good quality food for evening meal in the dining room. The location speaks for itself - fantastic.

The property was excellent, and as described. The rooms were clean, tidy, and ours had a view of Rydal water. The breakfast was varied and very filling! Staff were friendly at all times, and the hotel was well located to explore Grasmere and Ambleside. Only thing I would change was in the Spa, where the pool constantly had air jets going, which was noisy, and made swimming difficult. However, I realise people come for the 'bubbles', so not a big issue.

A great stop over.
Made to feel welcomed by staff by having an actual conversation whilst booking us in. Facilities were as expected great. I would stay again. View was great the weather was not but only added to the scenery.

Daffodil Hotel mini break
Ideal location for exploring Grasmere, although village mostly shut during our stay in January. Hotel very clean and done to a high standard. Staff extremely attentive and food very good. Only thing that let it down was mattress comfort.

A lovely night away for my partners birthday we stayed early in the year for a family wedding and loved it so decided to rebook to enjoy the spar and relax, a lovely hotel with amazing food and friendly staff we will definitely be back next year.

Smart clean hotel. Friendly staff. Very nice young lady in restaurant/bar (long dark hair) who was just lovely with everybody she interacted with and clearly had good knowledge re the hotel and offering good service. Another lady greeting at the restaurant was very nice too and accommodating of our request to eat from the lounge menu. Spa area was small and was unmanned both times we were in the corridor area - which was a shame - as we and another couple didn’t have instructions re the therapy pool area (we were waiting for jets to kick in on a timer - but they don’t - there’s a hot tub style button but nothing to highlight it). Bfast and evening meal - very nice thank you. Would recommend the hotel but there are better spas. To be honest the price does reflect that. Lovely position on the water.

Gorgeous Hotel !
Lovely hotel ! Reception staff welcoming & friendly. Rooms beautiful & spotless. We had a dinner reservation & food was perfect. Dining staff friendly & helpful. Dining was lovely & relaxed . All in all a gorgeous hotel & we will definitely be returning.

Fantastic stay
I stayed there with my daughter for the weekend and both of us loved it. We had a great time in the hotel very nice view from our room. Beds were very comfy. We had a great walk around the hotel and lake. We will definitely come back again

Had a wonderful stay. The hotel is very clean and the room and bathroom was lovely. The staff have all been very friendly and helpful. Would definitely love to come back. The hotel is not far from a lovely walk around the Lake and 10mins flat walk to the centre of Grassmere.

Overall the staff where very friendly and courteous. The meals where also of a high quality. The carpets where unfortunately stained in some general places and the bedroom. The Spa facilities were good. A separate swimming pool would be beneficial.

Initially we were very disappointed with the hotel given the amount of money we had paid for our stay. The bedroom had Cobwebs, stains on the carpet and electric sockets that didn’t work. The view from our room was poor, overlooking the air conditioner units. The outside furniture cushions were left out in the rain so remained wet and we’re mouldy and unclean. Litter and glasses were not cleared very promptly, and furniture and cushions were not straightened, leaving the hotel looking scruffy.

Wonderful stay for 2 nights. Surrounding area was beautiful. Good Spa. Great service with very attentive staff. We had breakfast and dinner for both nights. Would have been nice to have a different dinner menu on the second night. Apart from that a great stay!
