“A superb city location”

The HoJo Plaza is a great hotel to be at in the centre of Willemstad. The 4th floor rooms (401 & 402) offer the best views of the swinging bridge and all the action of the plaza. The hotel staff is extremely helpful and especially Eric who set us up in 401 after we looked at the first room we were assigned and did not like the view. The room was spacious and clean and came with a mini fridge. We asked for a coffee maker and one was delivered cheerfully and promptly. Walk across the bridge for fine shopping or stay on the HoJo side for local experiences. There is a great supermarket about 5 blocks away and ample restaurants in easy walking distance. The bonus is the local bus which goes directly to the airport and is one block from the hotel for only $1 US. We would definely stay here again!

“Quiet, efficient, good location”

Our room had a balcony and overlooked the most attractive part of town - only 4 rooms in the hotel had those qualifications. Room was small but efficient and worth the money compared to others we shopped for. The only downside was that the hotel had arranged our transportation from, and return to, the airport. However, those pre-arranged and confirmed services didn't appear so we took a cab at approx twice the cost.

a nice, clean, and fun hotel to spend a few days, and if you would like to meet the MED school this is the better place to begin!!

“Would stay there again”

There was no hot water available at all times House keeping staff talks very loud early in the morning. No way one can relax in the morning.

Ho Jo is ideally located in Curacao's capital. It sits on the bank of the river and over looks the ocean and the famous pontoon (moving bridge). The view is fantistic. Right outside your hotel window has lots of shopping and other activities for visitors. Irie Tours is a skip across from the hotel. They offer every imaginable tour for visitors. The hotel has well-trained staff, is comfortable and has everthing a standard hotel should offer. This is the perfect place to stay on your first visit to Curacao. I was very glad I chose Ho Jo!

“The best place”

This hotel has the best location in Willemstad. Problems: there aren't refrigerator in the rooms, doesn't have room services. But where I'll go to Willemstad I'll stay there. The reception personal is very, very good.

“Being renovated?”

Impressive locations. Although clean rooms seem to be in process of being renovated. Fixtures were removed, sockets disfunctional, etc. Extremely good security.

“Close to everything”

The hotel is located at one of the busiest areas of Otro Banda. Bars and restaurants are downstairs and by crossing the floating bridge you can easily access Punda. The bus station is also behind the hotel. Perfect location.

“Very nice hotel”

Recently I visited Curacao, and I can tell that Howard Jhonson Hotel was a great place to stay, location couldn't be better, just in front of the bridge so you can go walking to interesting places in the island. Restaurants are close by so you don't have to go too far away to eat someting nice, hotel was very clean, and safe also.
