Excellent hotel, location and cleanliness great

Posted May 30, 2014
Pros: Resort amenities all at your disposal.
Cons: More elevators or ramps to make it more handicap accessible.
Location: Definitely have to utilize shuttle or taxi to get around. Not near town or tourist sites.
Stayed in beachfront room. Overall experience was great. Hotel staff very friendly and accommodating. This was an anniversary trip for us once the word leaked out, Anabella the restaurant supervisor at Seabreeze had a small celebration for us onsite. Everything was great, we definitely plan to return.

Fantastic!

Pros: Beautiful beach front hotel and grounds w/reef just offshore and great, convenient dive shop; friendly, helpful staff; nice room and balcony; igaunas!
Cons: WiFi access and lower or no cost; better cooling room refrigerators (very minor).
Location: Further from downtown than we had thought (not practical to walk), so having a rental car was great. Very few street signs so staff directions helped!
Everything we expected and much more. Beach front room was our spot in Paradise. The beach, grounds, pool and common areas were lovely. All the staff were super friendly and very helpful in checking in and out, helping us get the room we wanted, planning outings and providing directions and tips. The restaurant, bar/pub and Deli were great. Deli is a good deal for tasty breakfast sandwiches and other things as food, drinks, etc. tend to be quite pricey on the island. Stocking up at the Centrum Super Market saved us a bundle. WiFi costs about $9 a day, but you can save some by paying for 3-day or 5-day deals. Had problems with both of us using the same log-on (would kick the other off of internet, which was a pain). The dive shop was great-friendly instructors and staff and very convenient. Completed PADI certification with open water dives no problem at all. The coral reef just offshore was amazing. Easy to snorkel and swim as well. Lots of rocks in places so you have to watch your step a bit, but didn't take away from the experience. Aqua shoes helped a lot for walking in the water. Hated to leave. Would definitely stay there again without a doubt.

Beautiful Hotel & Beach!

Posted May 29, 2014
This resort was great. Beach was much better than some of the surrounding hotels that I saw. Staff was also incredibly accommodating. While it is a $15 cab ride into town, I didn't find that this was where I wanted to spend most of my time anyways. The only thing that could be improved were the restaurants. Portofino was pretty good, but the Seabreeze restaurant was not very tasty. Room service was also really high quality. Plus there is Tomatoes and Pirate Bay in walking distance (2 beach front delicious restaurants...be aware that service at Pirate Bay is hit or miss, but the food is worth the wait)Totally recommend this hotel if you are planning a trip to Curacao!!

Nice Hotel, expensive meals

Posted May 26, 2014
Pros: The beach and pool area. Staff is terrific.
Cons: Room linens and I would do the all inclusive option because the meals were very expensive.
Location: Shopping in Willemstad. Snorkling.
Curacao Marriott was a nice hotel. The only criticisms would be that the meals in the restaurants were really expensive. Breakfast was $100 everyday for 3 people unless you wanted to eat at the little store which whittled it down to about $60 for a bowl of fruit, coffee and a couple of doughnuts. Also, the hotel needs to update their linens. The towels were almost see through. The beach and pool area very nice and the staff is terrific.

Marriott, Renaissance Curacao, perfectly located for touring the island. It was fantastic having a car rental office at the hotel. The staff could have been a bit more in "party" mode considering tourists are on vacation and looking for a happy, fun loving time. One of the nicest hotels on the island. Restaurant service needs to improve.
