“Excellent Hotel”

The hotel was beautiful. My wife and I were looking for a quiet, out-of-the-way hotel where we could do nothing but relax and enjoy peace and quiet, and this was the perfect location. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly, and the hotel amenities were very good-the deli and restaurants are open late, ensuring there's something to snack on if you're hungry-no vending machine meals are needed. I think the only complaint I'd have is that the beds are somewhat divoted- my wife and I woke up in the morning with some back pain (and I have a pretty bombproof back.) The snorkeling off the beach is better than some of the dive trips I've been on-there are tons of fish 15 feet from the water's edge. I'd recommend this hotel highly.

“Great hotel”

When we arrived, we received a complimentary cold tropical beverage. It was a great touch. The hotel is beautiful and the water is amazing. Be sure to bring water shoes as the beach is rough with shells and rocks. They have a cool tiki bar on the beach that has swings instead of bar stools. I wouldn't eat at the Sea Breezes restaurant if you're starving, they take quite awhile to serve and the food was just okay. The other two restaurants were great. I would definitely stay here again.

“All we were looking for.”

MAriott was excellent. Good location, good beaches and restaurants. Fine snorkeling off the beach. Need a car to really see the island and staff were excellent about helping with directions and reservations.

“Excellent place to relax!”

We arrived on Sat. Jan. 8, 2005 for a 6 night stay on the Marriott all-inclusive package. We had a wonderful oceanfront room. We were skeptical about the all-inclusive due to some of the exceptions, however, there were only a couple of things like lobster and high end cordials like Louis as well as bottles of wine that you couldn't order or you would pay for or part of it. The hotel setting is just beautiful, very tropical and lush (just getting off the rainy season). There is much to see and do downtown but they do admit to a drug problem and that to stay safe stay at your hotel. Most of the hotels on the island have casinos and entertainment so we did just that. The pool was small but did the job. The beach was no further than 15 feet from our room. Dinner reservations in their Portifino restaurant are a must as well as a not to be missed Sunday Brunch. This is a much more intimate property than most carribean Marriott's resorts, less walking, it's just perfect and an excellent place to relax!

“Casual and comfortable---we'll definately return”

Hotel was a total resort...no need or desire to leave...snorkeling on site...food and beverages were very good...service slow....lack of shade at pool area...sandy beaches...inclusive package is the way to go as the food was expensive

“Great relaxing vacation”

We were very happy with everything at the resort. The service and the people were great. No exciting night life, but that is not what we wanted. Great beach, pool, nice bars at each. If you want to just relax by the water this is for you. Nothing for kids. Go to the town once, not much there but sit at one of the waterside cafes and enjoy the view. We rented a car for a day,it was better than the beach excursion and cost alot less.

“Gorgeous resort. We had an amazing time.”

My wife and I went to Curacao for our honeymoon and stayed at the Marriott Resort. What an amazing hotel/resort. The accomdations were great, the hotel was beautiful, the food was amazingly delicious at ALL the restaurants, and the beaches were so beautiful and relaxing. The only thing we didn't love was that the pool was pretty crowded. But why swim in the pool when the ocean is just 10 feet away???
