Staff was wonderfulPosted Sep 16, 2014
Pros: The staff, location, beach, restaurants.
Location: We were unable to do much sightseeing due to my wife's accident.
We stayed at the Curacao Marriott resort for 10 days. On the 4th day my wife broke her leg and was non-weight bearing, in a straight leg cast and needed to use a wheelchair to get around. Everyone on the staff from housekeeping, to the restaurants, the gift shop, the front desk, were so helpful and caring. We were checked on multiple times thru out the day by various staff employees and offered assistance with everything including contacting the airlines to change seats on all three flights back home. Our vacation didn't quite go as planned but everyone at the resort made sure that we had a pleasant time. We so enjoyed getting to know them, share stories, learn more about Curacao and laugh. Thank you Curacao Marriott. We plan to return to the resort to see our new "friends" and experience Curacao in the near future.

Great HotelPosted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: The staff!!!! Excellent, right across all levels.
Cons: Rooms could do with an update.
Location: Loved the location, on a lovely beach and quiet at night.
Really lovely and friendly hotel. You get a warm welcome but it doesn't stop throughout your stay. Every member of staff is a credit to the company. Rooms are a tad tired but they are kept very clean and again, the staff rapidly know what your likes and dislikes are and accomodate these without asking. The pool is lovely, meticulously clean and warm. The restuarant serves very good food (surprising for a chain!) and the staff make the experience a pleasure. We celebrated our wedding anniversary and their kindness made the day special. If diving, the on-site oufit is excellent, efficient and helpful. You need a car though as taxi fares mount up very quickly and you miss seeing the island. Would we stay here again, absolutely!

CuracaoPosted Aug 26, 2014
We had an excellent stay the staff was very helpful and courteous. Beautiful beach with close by snorkeling and amenities. Restaurant food was wonderful but not enough choices. Was not happy with the taxes and surcharges but this was the case in the entire island.

Great location, facilities & staff, but rooms?Posted Aug 25, 2014
Best Marriott location I have ever stayed at, but the rooms are very outdated and dirty. I felt like I could have been at any New Jersey Shore dive hotel when in the room. Marriott management needs to at a minimum thoroughly clean the rooms, but really they need a gutting. All that said, I would stay there again given the awesome location.

This is a very relaxing hotel.Posted Aug 23, 2014
Pros: Relaxing beach. Very helpful and friendly staff. Close to airport (15 minutes) and town (10 minutes)
Cons: Please - update the rooms!!
Location: The twice daily shuttle into town is really handy. My daughter and I used it twice. It's an easy way to go into town without renting a car.
My 14 year old daughter and I just returned on Aug 22/14. We enjoyed the beach very much. If you enjoy snorkeling this is a great spot but it is a good idea to bring beach shoes as it is a rocky beach (but also has sandy spots). There is a walkway along the ocean to the Hilton property (very close by) but little else walking distance. In the evening it's a quiet spot - really just dining and relaxing. Many guests enjoy watching the sunset with a relaxing drink before dinner. Our negative: hotel rooms are dated and in need a updating. If you want a quiet, pretty and restful spot this would be a good place for you. The beach bar ('Board Room') with the bar swings is a great spot to relax and my daughter and I really enjoyed 'Cerita' (the main bartender) every day. In fact, we missed her on her day off! I hope Marriott values employees like Cerita! Also, a thank you to

Nice resort.Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: Overall facilities in good condition and in a good location.
Cons: Food was very expensive but good. Hotle room was a little dated and the view from the sliding glass door was the razor wire perimeter fenc.
Location: Good location to scuba that end of the island. Also close to town.
One of the nicest hotels on the island. Multiple restaurants. Really nice pool.

EXCELLENT BEACHFRONT RESORT FOR FRIVOLOUS SPENDINGPosted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: HOSPITABLE PEOPLE AND OCEAN LOCATION
Cons: IN ROOM MAINTENANCE FOR BATH, BEDDING, INSECT CONTROL. PRICES ARE TOO HIGH WITH LIMITED SELECTION
Location: CLOSE TO TOWN CENTER WITH LOCAL SHOPPING. MOST VENDORS CAN BE TRUSTED BUT NO BARTERING. PRICES ARE TOO HIGH FOR THE QUALITY. BETTER DEALS ELSEWHERE
TYPICAL MARRIOTT RESORT WITH LESS COMFORTABLE BEDDING AND BATH. NO SOFA AS DESCRIBED. LOTS OF MOSQUITOES WITH NO RESORT SPRAYING. VERY PRICEY MEALS FOR BASIC FOODS. GOOD LOCATION TO BEACH AND TOWNCENTER. HARDWORKING STAFF AND QUITE HOSPITABLE. 2/5 CHANCE WE MIGHT RETURN TO THIS ISLAND; MORE THAN LIKELY WILL SELECT ANOTHER AND PAY FOR TRUE QUALITY.

Nice stay by the beachPosted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the beach, however, the friendly and helpful hotel staff were my favorite part of our stay.
Cons: Hopefully there is a way to keep the mosquitos out of the room, and perhaps an overall upgrade on towels and cleanliness.
Location: The hotel is a short drive from the airport. The beach is right outside. Willemstad, the UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a short ride way!
We spent 6 days relaxing by the beach. It is great that this hotel has a beautiful pool and the beach is right outside. The hotel staff was nice -- particularly the lovely ladies at the Voila shop (great gelato, coffee, sandwiches, and souvenirs), as well as the bellhop who was able to get us a cabbie who gave us a lovely tour of Willemstad so we could see Punda and Otrobanda. The main restaurants, Sea Breeze and Portofino, were also nice. You must try the crema catalana at Portofino (it's a delicious tangerine creme brûlée), and make sure to have dinner by the beach at Sea Breeze. However, we were disappointed by mosquitos in the room, which did not go away and just kept coming back! Also the room didn't feel as clean as we would have liked - the sand we brought in from the beach wasn't vacuumed from the rug from one day to the next, the towels felt worn, the wall paper was peeling in certain areas, and remnants of "mosquitos past" could be found as warnings on various walls (thought it didn't keep the little pests at bay).
