“beautiful hotel, would definitely return.”

floris suites is a beautiful property. the rooms were clean and pleasant. The pool and gardens were beautiful and well-maintained. The beach was a bit of a hike, and not that great. rent a car and go to one of the really lovely beaches on the island, instead. beware the $30 breakfast buffet, however. Have a cheaper, more pleasant breakfast at hook's hut on the beach, instead.

“Would like a "return trip"”

Hotel staff "went out of their way" to accomodate & service their guests. Breakfast was great-many delicious items to choose from. Private beach only short walk away & very nice.

“Quiet Get Away”

The staff were extremely friendly. They all speak at least four languages for the all the tourist. The hotel was very quiet and felt very private with all the beautiful foliage surrounding the rooms. The room could use a little sprucing up and the curtains cleaned. We had a beautiful private patio but didn't spend much time on it because of the many nats, typical of an island. We were satisfied with what we got for the money. My husband did have to fix the toliet that stopped flushing and the lamp that broke. Our door lock also quit working, but when we told the front desk the person behind the desk immediately followed us back to our room to look at it. It was fixed the same day. I did get tired of paying $16.50 every day for the same breakfast buffet. It had a lot of unfamilar choices. It would have been nice if they had been labeled, then I might have tried them. When we travel we look for the smaller, more quiet places and this hotel met our needs.

“Small, elegant, beautifully-designed hotel”

FSH is an intimate, beautifully-designed, open-air hotel with well-maintained grounds and a lovely, though small pool. The suites are very comfortable and stylish in a crisp, clean lines kind of way. The hotel's location is central on the island, between the airport and the city, so a drive to both the city center and to any beautiful beaches. A car is a necessity if you want to visit a nice beach, but that's fine since there are so many beautiful beaches that you'd want to visit more than one anyway. The breakfast was fine, but pretty run of the mill, esp since we expected more from a hotel of this class with a gourmet restaurant. Dinners were particular, nouvelle cuisine-ish, but again, not very delicious. No local fare, either. And because of the hotel's location, you can't walk out on the street and find other dining options. It sits in a little cluster of other, larger hotels and casinos, but there is no local street life nearby. The front desk staff, though very courteous and friendly, were not particularly helpful or informed about what to do or where to go, and they didn't really go out of their way to help. All that said, we had a lovely stay and were always happy to return to the hotel at the end of our day.

“Floris Hotel a good Curacao place to stay”

The Floris was a VERY nice hotel. Friendly staff, beautiful setting. My only complaint was the hot water in the shower always ran out in about two minutes. We brought this to the attention of the desk repeatedly. At one point they sent a maintenance man to check it out. He agreed there was a problem and said he'd replace the water heater the next day. We never saw him again. We again brought this to the attention of the front desk but nothing ever came of it. It wasn't a huge deal except my girlfriend has been serving in Peace Corps Suriname and I wanted her to have a really nice experience. Food was a bit pricey but pretty typical for Curacao. The beach was small and it's recommended you drive to it as it isn't directly attached to the hotel. The Pirate Bay restaurant at the beach was nice, casual and good value. Our last evening we had a romantic evening on the beach at Pirate Bay. A beautiful way to end our trip.

“Almost perfect”

Everything was wonderful except for the shower curtain that was not in good shape and not too clean. And if you left late for the beacj the cleaning was less than perfect.

Beautiful gardens and a friendly cheerful staff that wanted to help. Everything was easy at the Foris Suites. I would stay again.
