Service was terrible. You will need an adapter for electricity, which did not always work. Showers are antiquated. We are divers which was why we chose his hotel it is 5 minute from dive shop that would be the only plus for us.

The Beach is a few steps away.

Posted Jan 16, 2015
The villas were nice and to open the balcony doors to an oceanfront view was amazing. Upon arrival , check-in was shaky. I felt like there could have been a more explained and inviting atmosphere. A map of the hotel grounds would help too. Very clean place, the hotel staff keep it really nice. The tiki bar was my favorite part. There was a great bartender, good music, and of course tasty drinks by the geourgous pool. The food wasn't very good, I would prefer a better chef, to go with the classy menu options. The Beach.. ahhh kalki beach was the best on the island in Curacao. Just a few steps from the hotel, and was worth it.

Nice for solitude and diving

Posted Jan 1, 2015
Pros: The room setting. Cleanliness of the entire lodge. The young bartender. The iguanas roaming around. The weather. The beach bar.
Cons: Slow service at the restaurant. Lack of information given to guests. Earlier departures for the shuttle. Gift shop never open. WiFi in rooms.
Location: Very remote. Diving on site. Nothing else in the area as far as we could tell. You have to go into town for everything else.
My 17 yr old daughter & I stayed for a week at X-mas.The taxi to the hotel cost $65 USD (return trip $80 USD -4 am). The lodge is remote on the north-west point of the island. Check-in was quick but no information was given. There was no information in the room about the resort. Missed the lodge activities because we didn't know about them. There is a shuttle from the lodge to their sister hotel in the city. It leaves at 8:30 am and returns at 4 pm. We would have spent a lot of money on taxi's without the shuttle but it left to late to be part of many of the activities that would only pick you up in town. There is a restaurant (lunch $50 for two) (dinner $90 for two) but there were only 8 items on the dinner menu so if you plan on staying a week, you will be short of choices. We ate lunch at the sister hotel in town and there were vastly more selections and some local dishes that were delicious. Service at the "lodge" restaurant was extremely slow. We have experienced the slower pace in the Caribbean but this was way beyond that. Small beach but nice swimming area. Pool lounges were nice but usually taken. Disappointed that no one was talkative. On other islands everyone from the taxi drivers to the staff would chat and give you information. Here they would answer your questions politely but nothing more. Never even knew anyone's name at the lodge. Great place for solitude or a romantic get away not good for fun, adventure or learning about the island

The Beach is stunning!

Posted Dec 27, 2014
The beach at Kura Hulanda is absolutely stunning however get there early as the hotel does not provide enough lounge chairs for hotel guests. The staff is friendly and always welcoming. The food is absolutely horrible & over priced so bring your own food as there are not nearby restaurants in walking distance. The rooms could use some updating & deep cleaning.

Beautiful hotel, right on the beautiful beach

Posted Dec 19, 2014
Pros: perfect location, beautiful beach, quiet, nice garden
Location: there is nothing near by and that whats make this hotel unique. You just relax and enjoy the beach
This is our second time in Kura Hulanda. Hotel needs some refurbishment (new TV, wi-fi and etc). Location is perfect for relaxing vacation (swimming, snorkeling). Good restaurant and several small places to eat near by. Some small problems with cleanig staff were solved after one conversation with management.

Schöne Anlage traumhaft gelegen am Playa Kalki

Posted Dec 14, 2014

A Pleasant Stay

Posted Nov 27, 2014
Location: Go West Diving is located next to the resort. Go West Diving offers snorkeling and scuba diving trips. They have a knowledgeable and friendly staff.
My son picked Kura Hulanda Resort on the North / West side of Curacao as this part of the island is said to have the better beaches an they are not crowded. It is a more secluded part of the island. Kura Hulanda provides a very relaxed feel. I did like that the rooms were sort of bungalow style. The electrical receptacles offered were both European and US configurations. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful.I found this resort to be beautiful and very relaxing. The water was so clear. My son an I both plan to return to this resort next year.

The most amazing vacation spot ever.

Posted Nov 22, 2014
Pros: I like the octagon building in the garden area, the Tiki Hut construction around the property, and the awesome view of the ocean from the dinning area
Cons: Never change a thing !!!!!!
Location: This resort is secluded. There is never a reason to leave the premises. It's that good !!!
Words can not describe how wonderful the Kura Hulanda Beach resort was. Very romantic, and rustic Caribbean ambiance, with private beach carved out of the sea. I have traveled extensively around the Caribbean, and this resort is truly the most impressive. After visiting the Kura Hulanda, on Curacao, there is no need to look for another vacation spot.
