“Can I live here??”

This "hotel" was incredible!! We loved that the rooms were in little huts and that they blended well with the environment (these were the ones that were garden view). The resort was quiet, the food was great, the staff was friendly and we even started to know some of the staff and they started to know us by the end of the week. Everything that we wanted was made available to us from the resort (snorkeling, car rental, trip into the big city). I would strongly recommend renting a car one day and visiting the nearby Landhuis for their island cuisine. The hotel had great food, but make sure you know that the 2 restaurants at night serve different foods, so ask whether it is a la carte or a preset menu with some options. We did not realize they served different foods until the 4th night. Don't expect the fast pace that we are used to in the United States. Remember that you are on island time, take a deep breath and realize that things are not as fast as at home. Definitely recommend the gardenview suite. Was not worth the price difference to upgrade to ocean view rooms. You are pretty much at the ocean the whole day anyways. Great birds and flowers by the garden view rooms. Will definitely visit again!!!

“Ticks all the boxes”

My partner and I wanted a quiet, kid free holiday together. We made out a list of holiday needs (view, location, sun, beach, snorkelling, pool, good food, Air Cond, proximity to nightclubs[far away as possible..!]) and surfed around and asked questions until we found the ideal place that ticked all the boxes on our list. Kura Hulanda Lodge. Nice rooms with basic cooking facilities for lazy mornings, our room view not bad- but nice sunsets and distant storms, a quiet hotel, very friendly staff (if you make the effort then ALL the staff had big smiles). Small but good beach, need sand shoes though - good food (not a very big menu though)- beach cafe has an excellent cook - good snorkelling (but subdued after Hurricane Dean). Watch out for mosquitoes and sand flies. Barmen very friendly and generous (hic!). Not a place for little kiddies or those who like to stay hotel bound the whole time. We hired car from Day 1 and were glad we did as we could explore Curacoa back roads and beaches with a picnic. I would recommend this hotel to any who want quiet watersport holiday. Capt Jerry gives a great day trip on his boat, Blue Iguana - take your snoggelling gear. Tuna are easy to catch and five mins on Jerry's BBQ they become very tasty little fellas. Relax and chill under a palm trreeeeee. Zzzz!

“Best place in the Carribean”

This is the perfect place to get away and relax. None of the glitz and tackiness of many island resorts. The beach is perfect and the snorkling is divine! The food in all of the restaurants is excellent and they are willing to accommodate vegetarians and also have many veggie options. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, the staff very friendly, and the food and drinks are reasonably priced. I can't put into words how beautiful this part of Curacao is == I've been to many islands and resorts but this one if the best.

“Great experience in Westpunt, Curacao”

I took my husband to Lodge Kura Hulanda for a dive trip to celebrate a milestone birthday. We had a wonderful experience! We stayed in an ocean front studio rooom, which had a covered veranda as well as an open-air patio, looking across a low stone wall at the ocean (rooms are atop a cliff). The hotel staff was fabulous...when we came back to our room from diving, they had put a bottle of champagne in the refrigerator and decorated the room with balloons, streamers, and "happy birthday" banners. We did not do the all-inclusive plan, but we did eat most meals at the Lodge. The food was good, but a bit pricey; if you plan to eat most meals there, all-inclusive is probably the way to go. We tried several local restaurants (Jaanchies, Landhuis David, Sol Food), and had good experiences. Two are fairly close to the Lodge, but we opted to drive as it would have required a longish (10-15 minute) walk down some narrow roads to get to them. The dive operation at the Lodge (Ocean Encounters West) was excellent...competent, experienced dive masters, low-key attitude, and great dive sites. The "house reef" (Alice in Wonderland) was excellent for both diving and snorkeling...it's regarded as one of the best dive sites on the island. The only negative comment I have is regarding the tub/shower in the room...it was very deep and VERY hard to get in and out of. If you have any mobiliyt concerns, definitely ask the hotel if they have any rooms with a more accessible tub/shower.

“Kura Hulanda Beach Club a relaxing getaway”

My wife and I recently stayed at the Lodge Kura Hulanda Beach Club. We had a very positive experience. If you are looking for a nice, relaxing place where you can sit by the sea and enjoy nature - then this is the place to do it. The grounds and view are beautiful. The service is great. The beach is small and private. We are not normally "beach people", but this place converted us. The hotel is fairly new and our room was terrific. We had a fabulous view. The food was a little pricey at breakfast time - but the rest of the meals were reasonable. There is not a lot of choices on the menus, but the food is very good and the outdoor open air restaurants are lovely. You can enjoy a very good meal and watch the sun set over another special day. If you are the type of person that has to go out and visit other places close by, then this may not be the place for you. There is not much to do within 30 minutes of this place. If you like to stay in one place and relax - then this is a place you should try. We want to go back as soon as we can.

Remote, serene, perfect for the ultimately private, elegantly classy romantic getaway! Great weather, scenery, snorkeling, diving. Friendly, courteous staff, great accomodations, beautifully landscaped. Total relaxation!!! Loved it! would return at the drop of a hat!

“Great secluded spot”

We were there in June. Had a fantastic time. Hotel is great (but remote), so if you're looking for night life you might want to go someplace else. Would definitely recommend.

“Awesome!”

If you want a quiet luxurious Hotel with great shore diving this is it. My wife and I spent several days here during our honeymoon. We did a lot of diving right from the Hotel's beach. The dive site is known as Alice in Wonderland very nice. If you get a chance you need to do the boat dive to a near by site called Watamula. It is a very beautiful dive. The restaurant's at the hotel are nice, a little pricey. We would recommend bringing groceries from Williamstead if you want to save a little money! We stayed at several other hotels in Curacao including Habitat ( a well known dive resort) and the Marriott. All were very nice, but this one was our favorite!!! Good luck!!

“I was really impressed by the good service.”

Me and my wife really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The hotel is located on the most beautiful part of the island and it also has great beach. The service was really good, we had couple of requests and they all were implemented in less than 5 minutes. Rooms sometimes miss some equipment, for example ours was missing an iron and a kettle, but again it took them less than 5 minutes to bring it. So if the room is missing something you just need to ask. The working personal is very friendly. This is not a fancy hotel but it is in ok shape. Also this hotel is located rather far away from the city (~45 minutes) so if you are looking for intensive night life this is definitely not a place for you. This place is more to relax and to rest and enjoy time with your partner or kids. The hotel has one restaurant with ok (not fancy) food, so be prepared to eat only there. The atmosphere was really relaxing and I can say that I've really rested.

“Lovely for nature lovers”

This is a great place to go if you want a quiet retreat with a small, lovely beach. It is for people who truly want lowkey, quiet surroundings and to hike in the nearby national park, relax on the beach, snorkel, and be surrounded by nature and not for those who like excitement and flashy places. By 10:00, everything is pretty much shut down and families and couples are tucked away together. The place is beautiful, the suites on the beach completely functional and high quality, the people real and wonderful, the feel egalitarian and thriving.
