“Quirky in an enjoyable way”

Situated in the heart of Williamstad, the San Marco, though it shows its age, makes up for it with engaging and personable staff. Parking is an issue, which will be soon remedied by a new parking garage one block away. The plumbing requires some creativity (no hot water for the bathroom sink), but the rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. A curious practice of the town is that all shops close at 5:30 each day, with everything closed on Sunday, so plan accordingly! The continental breakfast includes hot eggs, meat, and cheese, as well as croissants and a variety of beverages. It would be worth some extra cash to get a room on the 6th floor facing the ocean!

“Convevient to stay”

It's good location in town. Shops, restaurants and viewpoints around. Normally they only speak Spain and Papiamato. They get very simply breakfast.

“Ok”

They need to improve on their bath rooms, in rooms Tv chennels not enough and not clear. Also in the morning the breakfast is not hot. other than every thing else is Ok.

“Not Impressed”

The staff were quite friendly, but I did particularly like the hotel. I had to be moved on arrival because the windows on my room were dirty, I was opposite a building covered in what looked like bird mess and the room smelled of smoke. It was bearable for the 3 days that I was there. Regretfully I was in Curacao when hurricane Tomas hit the Island and as my flight was cancelled I had to stay at the Airport Hotel. It was a hellish experience, with leaking ceilings - water all over the bed, an extremely rude manager, the rooms were so awful I cannot begin to describe, dirty, smelly, horrible. No food, just lots of money for a disgusting experience. Never again - and no one should be expected to pay for and stay in such disgusting accommodation.

“Run-down motel in the middle of town”

There is a distinct feeling of the old dirty motel in and out San Marco rooms. If the price is the king, go for it, but if you don't want to spoil your vacation too much, try elsewhere

“Expected better”

The price of the hotel is nice and cheap, if compaired to the other hotels in the area. The location is also nice, as it is in the city (PUNDA). These are the missers I find: - no hotel parking when you have a car, so it is a huge risk - the room we stayed in had gum on the wall, the bathroom door made noise when opening it. - there were stains on the sheets of the bed - the bathroom towels had thorn threads on them - there was no handtowel or extra bathroom towels, just two. - when going for breakfast (which is basic and ok) you walk next to the kitchen, eventhough it shows cleanliness, it is not what i expected. - there is cocktail fruit in stead of real fruit - carpet is the room would be prefferable as the room is cold with the AC on.

“"Hotel and Casino?"...Really???”

This place was a total dump!! The entire staff was rude as well as the casino staff! The bed was a rock and the box spring had stains on it...I can only Imagine what the mattress looked like under the sheets. For the price per night, I was expecting better... On the upside, it's close to some ok shopping.

i'm not a resort person but in this case save your money and stay at one of them such as the Livingstone where I ended up staying after 2 cr*ppy days at the San Marco. The don't acknowledge you when you come to the desk, didn't know what the "sea aquarium" was even when I wrote it out for them, and it was clear none of them had any formal hotel hospitality training. Not to mention, this place is far from most of the activities. It's going to cost you $15-$25 each way for a cab. There are no good beaches near here that I could find. It just sucks. Avoid it.
