Great times in Curacao!

Posted Jan 2, 2015
Beautiful island and beautiful people!! Overall we had a great experience at Sunscapes... The rooms could use some work but the food was good, employees were friendly, drinks we're flowing and it was a fantastic relaxing vacation. One thing I regret is I didn't bring water shoes. The beach is rocky/Shelly in places so you have to be careful. Also wanted more entertainment/ local live music at night. But if you're there on Sunday nights, go to Mambo Beach down the street... Awesome outdoor dance club on the beach, multiple dj's, diverse mix of people and you have to pay to use the bathroom = guaranteed good time. We will definitely be back to Curacao!

Nice rooms, bad food

Posted Dec 29, 2014
Pros: Nice rooms.
Cons: Food!!!! And the restaurant service.
Location: The location is nice, although is seemed a bit smaller than the pictures on the websites suggests. Mambo beach and Sea Aquarium are nearby.
The rooms were nice, clean and modern. They had all the necessary amenities. The view I had was amazing, especially after I got a room upgrade with my Expedia Gold membership. Thumbs up for that! I also really appreciated the free drinks. The whole experience for me as a foodie was however ruined by the food. It wasn't very good and tasted the same in all the restaurants. The wait to be seated was around an hour. I had ordered a steak, medium rare, in one of the restaurants. It was served well done. When I complained to the waitress she said: but I wrote medium rare on the order, and proceeded to ask if we wanted dessert.

Good resort with some hicups

Posted Dec 23, 2014
Pros: Good food, apart from that served in the buffet restaurant.
Cons: More shuttles, more entertainment in the evenings, improve food in the buffet restaurant (chicken was very dry and chewy, seems it had been re-heated)
Location: Apart from aquarium, there is nothing of interest nearby. The town center is about 15 minutes from the resort.
Generally good. However, don't pay for a slow internet at the resort. Use the free internet available at the casino in the resort. Also the resort need to have more shuttles going to the town center. Had difficulty in booking the shuttle. The resort has a check-out time of 12 pm, asked for a hour extension since our flight was late, but the front desk refused this.

eins der besten hotels auf curacao

Posted Dec 11, 2014
Pros: super nettes personal, gutes essen, schöner strand (fuer curacao)

Cons: We stayed in the Flamingo and you could definitely have an ice machine on every floor. Also, offer a cup of coffee after diner.
Location: Mambo beach next to the resort is a fun place.
This was a nice resort on the beach. The snorkeling at the resort is great and all the employees are very friendly especially Kenneth the bartender. The food is pretty good. We especially liked the Oceania restaurant. The italian restaurant is definitely NOT a New York italian restaurant. The pools are very nice and have activities going on in the afternoon.

Beautiful weather

Posted Nov 6, 2014
The weather is amazing. Staff was fantastic. King bed was uncomfirtably hard, the floor would likely have been equally as uncomfortable. Room staff provided bed pad which helped very little. Food was good, beaches very rocky. Definitely need water shoes. Entertainment was decent but room for improvement. With a small investment from the owner my wife and I believe this resort could be a much desired and sought after vacation hot spot. There is a lot of potential for greatness. We are a same sex couple who chose this island for our honeymoon. They are open and friendly and we enjoyed our selves immensely.
