Pros: Central location close to attractions such as the Queen Emma bridge.
We always enjoy our stay at the Plaza. We had a wonderful room overlooking the pool and ocean in the newer section of the hotel.

Pros: Ship canal visible from balcony
Cons: The entire physical facility
Requested a smoking room which was confirmed by Expedia. On arrival all rooms were non-smoking. Requested a room with a balcony and was charged $20.00 additional. Upon entering the room, the sliding glass door to the balcony was inoperable. Requested a wake-up call for an early business appointment. It came two hours late. General condition of the facility is old and tired. Beautiful fans in the lobby, but they don'y work. Multiple Klipsch speakers at poolside, but they don't work either. Some staff were friendly and helpful, others acted like they couldn't be bothered. Was notified there were repairs being done, so no water or electricity from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, was comped a breakfast for the inconvenience. And, oh yes, the first room I had did not have hot water!

They definitely need to clean al their floor windows. It has a beautiful view of the city when you look out from the window. Please clean those windows!

This time at the Plaza Hotel was terrible. No hot water. No proper bed covers and very sloppy service. Definitely slacked off as far as the service and standards. Too much money for that what we got. It has been better.

This hotel needs a lot of updating! It isn't horrible but it is far from great. I don't normally complain a lot but I was disappointed with this hotel. This was an arranged dive trip so the hotel was picked for us. If we go back, I will seek shelter elsewhere.

Pros: one of yhe most things i liked was the location and romms were very clean.
Cons: i think it is nice as it is.
Location: thats what i liked most.
it was nice to know after walkin down town that your room is near.

The service was nice and the location is amazing. But the conditions of the hotel are a mess. They need to make changes and maintenance in the hotel, the pool have holes, the conditions of the room are not well.

In need of refurbishment and new management

Pros: The location is excellent and if you get a decent room and put up with poor staff, it can work.
Cons: The rooms need serious refurbishment and proper staff training is needed to give standards of service and courtesy.
Location: Excellent location more or less at the centre of Willemstad.
Having pre-arranged specifically a refurbished room, we found we were given a poor room with lots of shortcomings. After some cajoling and then a row, we were upgraded without extra charge to a partially refurbished Junior Suite and this was very acceptable, although no-one could get the room safe deposit to work. Most of the staff were hopeless and the breakfast arrangements, albeit in pleasant part, were very poor and limited. There was a fridge in the room but empty! But the hotel is in an excellent location in Willemstad, with immediate access to the very centre of the town. Also there is a group of delightful waterfront restaurants within a minute's walk of the hotel. We were satisfied in the end but would most definitely not have been without the room change.
