“Great Location and Staff! Very clean and pleasant!”

Very appropriate for singles or couples needing a one-to-two nights accomodation. Staff is extremely helpful, friendly, informative and multi-lingual. Hotel is relatively new, so everything is in great condition and is clean. WiFi available in lobby area, but not rooms. Deposit must be paid in cash (US$100), returned to you immediately upon checkout. Small corridors and stairways make maneuvering luggage a little difficult. When reserving on Expedia, an airport shuttle is mentioned, but there are some specifics that are not. You must call the hotel and book the airport shuttle (for appx. US$9, o/w) at least a few days in advance. The shuttle only runs between 7am-7pm and is based on driver availability. If the shuttle is not available, expect to pay US$20-30 o/w for the five mile taxi ride to or from the airport. Although you'll clearly pay more for a taxi, most taxi services are very professional, friendly and comfortable. Restaurants within walking distance with good sizes plates of delicious Carribean food for very reasonable prices (eg: chicken, rice, black beans, plantains and beverage for ~US$8.

“In Transition”

This hotel is in transition. It is in the final phase of being converted to a Euro-style hotel. The room itself was modern and clean, as was the lobby, while the rear entry, where we were originally taken, was very 'third world'. The hotel is veritable labryinth of stairs, doors and elevators, including several spiral staircases, some not negotialble with the larger bags needed for scuba gear. The bathroom was new and modern, as were all the fixtures and furnishings. The cafe' was not operating while we were there.
